PostForum: Ships, Vehicles, Equipment, and Tech   Posted: Sun May 19, 2024 10:16 pm   Subject: S-Foils
Okay, I've put some thought into this, and I'm planning on adding S-Foils as special equipment to the X-Wing and B-Wing stats in my archive. There will be some similarities, but also some unique aspec ...

Maybe the stock ship was statted out too fast in the first place.
I picture the Baudo as the SW equivalent of a cigarette yacht or go-fast boat: basically the sports car equivalent of a boat, but als ...

Check the www button at the bottom of my post. It links to my Google Drive, where I have a pretty extensive collection of deckplans, including one for the Baudo.

The rule of thumb is 1m^3 for every 2 metric tons of cargo. This assumes you’re hauling solid cargo, as 1m^3 of water is 1 metric ton.

What’s a Venerator? The Venator only has 7,400 crew, plus 2,000 troops. There’s plenty of room for them and a lot more besides.

I agree that the numbers are just made up, but that doesn't make them implausible. If anything, considering the number of droid starfighters Separatist ships could deploy, it may not be enough. I'd ce ...

Even with them being that small, i still think over two hundred+ fighters, is a bit much. Even at max capacity a US air craft carrier, still only gets up to 72 fighters...
A Venator is over 4x longe ...

Logical assumptions would be based on some sort of evidence.

For example:1) Nowhere in the films is it explicitly stated that an X-Wing can’t use its hyperdrive if its S-Foils are open, nor that ...

Okay, but where does it explicitly state that the systems are completely locked out depending on the positioning of the s-foils?

That's why i focused on the films and games. Not novels.
I don’t find the games to be a reliable source of canon, and I’m not aware of any point in the films that support what you proposed above ...

From watching the films/games, and such, it seems that they have a little more maneuverability when closed, and CAN'T fire but can go into hyperspace. While open they have standard move, and can fire ...

Targeting accuracy/coverage - Open gives more coverage but causes less damage as there's a bigger chance the craft being pursued could evade one or more of the weapon discharges, thus taking less dama ...

I’m considering adding an optional S-Foil rule to the X-Wing and B-Wing stats, with different per ...

Random thought: I’m thinking of having all Blast Effects count as Physical Damage, which will allow Armor to be more effective against near misses.
