Okay Im going to start a d6 Star Wars game over OpenRPG, and I know I need the 2nd ed. Revised and Expanded book.

Thats no problem, Im downloading it now. (GASP)

The question is, what else do I need? I know that alot of PDFs have been made by the people on these Forums, so whats what?

You'll need the "Tales of the Jedi" book - it's the best reference for Jedi. I would recomend posting what time period / type of game it is and we can give you other good books.

If you don’t take this seriously I'm out.

The Star Wars Sourcebook is invaluable to almost any Star Wars game. It has a little of everything, Weapons, vehicles, aliens, etc... A good starting point for ideas. I also recommend:
Galaxy Guide 4: Aliens
Galaxy Guide 6: Tramp Freighters
Galaxy Guide 12: Aliens and Enemies

The Stats book contain just stats, and no real background for much of their contents, but you may find all of them of use. Most of the other books are really just gravy. Great for ideas and seeds, or era specific stats and background, but not essential to a given campaign for the most part.

The Gamemaster Handbook can be useful to help you with storytelling, ideas for adventures and plots

Here's a link to the page where you can download Gry's books. They're found in the second post of the thread in a listing of PDFs he has collected.

Gry's Books.

You'll have to scroll down to the Other listing to find the links. There's Alien stats, Creature stats, Starship stats, Droid stats, and Vehicle stats. There's also a Templates collection compiled by Battlestar that he has llisted there that should prove extremely useful.

Plus, here's Gry's newest creation, I don't think he's added it yet.

Weapons

All of these are stored on Krapou's site, so thanks go to him for serving this community with such a need!

I hope these help. Plus, if you need any of the other books, I'm sure that everyone will be glad to assist you in the PDF sharing forum!

All you really need is a good imagination and a desire to tell stories. All those other books are just ideas for a Director to take ideas from. None are actually needed.

...Well, not needed to simply tell the story. VERY handy if you want the stats, especially when the dice start flying...

The Tales of the Jedi Companion is good in that you get most of the Force powers in one book. But most of the elements of the book are naturally for the TotJ era of game play. Elements like races, planets, and creatures can easily be used outside of the era with little or no changes (Ossus would need to be changed since the planet was virtually destroyed at the end of the Great Sith War). The character templates would require changing of a few skills to "modernize" them since skills like blaster and blaster repair didn't exsist at that time.
