One of my slicer characters has been toting around a Blas Tech heavy blaster pistol lately (a BlasTech DT-57, with 6D+1 damage) and he's been tearing up with it.
I think I'd really LIKE this Oota character...  |

I have recently been toying with the Merr-Sonn Intimidator (as seen in Galladiniums, RoE, and, best of all, Weapons Stats). It is just a blaster pistol with 3d damage but it is a 'rapid fire blaster pistol' that has a fire control of 2d (only when firing at multiple targets). So with a little modification you could have 4d damage and shoot 3 different enemies in a round and roll your full blaster dice. I'm liking the sound of it...
edit - oh yeah, it also has a retractable stock for ANOTHER 1d to your blaster skill (which means one more person to shoot at full blaster skill) if you aim for a round (which rarely seems to be an option)

the Prax "Blast and Smash" Energy Rifle, if only it had longer range on the Blaster component.
