This character is Force-sensitive.
Character Points: 5
Force Points: 2
Move: 10
Equipment: Blaster pistol (4D damage), two sets of clothing, 5,000 credits, backpack, 2 Vibroblades STR + 3D w/sheathes (With slight curves, extremely sharp )

Physical Description: B'enjamin stands about 6' tall, with close cropped brown hair and, blue eyes. He bears a small scar above his right eye that he got while playing hide and seek as a child. His outer appearance is that of a physically fit man, however his looks are only average when compared to other men his age. Most people look at him and only see his blue eyes; his primary expression is a serious one most of the time.

Connection to Others: His relationship with his parents is not strong anymore because they have passed on. He avoids all agents and troops of the Empire like they have a deadly disease. B'enjamin will gladly help the New Republic without thinking twice.
Other player he could have met on his travels to the Academy.

Background: B'enjamin was born on a planet close to the Outer Rim called Aviance, that the Empire had little influence over. Probably do to the lack of importance or use of the planet. The only thing the Empire kept there was a communication relay and a small supply depot. At the age of 6 while returning from a friend’s house, B'enjamin saw the most horrific thing of his young life. He was witnessing his mother being drug out of their home by some of the Empire's Troops. He quickly hid because he was told if he ever saw that white armor to get out of sight quickly. The only words he heard them utter were, "By order of the Emperor, all rebel sympathizers are to be executed on site and in the open." After that a blaster pistol was unholstered and his mother was executed. B'enjamin quickly got low and out of sight. He stayed there until he heard his father calling his name.

At first he was too afraid to move or say a word. Finally he looked up and saw his father walking towards him. "B'enjamin did you see what happened here my son?" asked his father. B'enjamin could only nod, tears were running down his face and, his throat hurt too much to even try and say a word. Panic came over Stan’s face and he quickly grabbed up his son. The next thing B'enjamin knew he was in orbit over Aviance. His father looked to him and said. "Son can you talk to me about what you saw before your mother was killed?" Finally B'enjamin was able to speak but only softly. The next ten minuets were spent telling his father that Imperial Storm Troopers had accused his mother of helping the Rebel Alliance and shot without even giving her a chance. His father's face showed the rage within. The next month was spent traveling to a planet on the Outer Rim called Avalon. B'enjamin was told his father had friends there and that they would help. What B'enjamin didn't know at the time was that he'd be staying and his father would be off again shortly after that.

Once on Avalon B'enjamin was taken to the Teras Kasi temple, where Stan's friend lived. B'enjamin was told to wait in the outer room while the two adults spoke in private. What was said B'enjamin would never find out directly, but he would come to learn it in other ways. When the men emerged from the room, B’enjamin’s father came to him and said. "My son you'll have to stay here. I will be back someday for you, but my path is clear and this is what’s best for you." B'enjamin started to cry again. Now his father was leaving him, he could only ask why. Stan shook his head no.

"Someday when you’re older I will tell you. For now listen to G'mon. He will teach you a great many things. I will return in no more than ten years for you.
That is when I will explain. Right now you are too young to understand my reasons." B’enjamin became very upset over this, first he lost his mother to the storm troopers, and now he would lose his father to them. He hated them for taking his family from him, if only he were old enough to head after them himself. He knew he couldn’t go now, but someday he would have his revenge against the Empire for this.

With that said Stan hugged his son one last time and left. While B'enjamin was not overly willing to learn all this at first, he reluctantly agreed. G'mon made him a deal. The quicker he learned the assorted basics that he needed to teach, he would tell him little pieces of why his father left and what B'enjamin was doing here. There was continued resistance for sometime, but eventually he gave in and began to learn. The first lessons taught in the Teras Kasi where meditation and balance. The fighting techniques and other things that Teras Kasi Masters could do would be taught later. When the time came to learn to fight B’enjamin found he had a most unnatural ability to know what his opponent was going to do before the attack would come. G’mon knew that there was a lot of anger in his young heart and that would consume him if he let it.

Between then and the ten years that followed B'enjamin learned the Teras Kasi arts. He received instruction in the customs and behaviors in other cultures, and even learned to understand what they were saying. He was taught how to use blasters; pistols were his favorite weapon type of blaster. Continued training also taught him how to care for and repair his blaster. He asked for and received training in the use of swords, eventually getting proficient enough to use two at once. G’mon even instructed B’enjamin on the finer points of piloting space transports, and astrogation.

B'enjamin enjoyed the meditation time after awhile and began to accept that his father must have had good reason to leave him here. B’enjamin still hurt because he wasn’t sure if he’d see his father again or not. Given the fact that he had seen his mother murdered. That was something that always burned away at him. Sometimes it would cloud his judgment, these were the only times he would lose any sparing match between himself and another student. G'mon in the course of the next year became like a second father to B’enjamin, he started to follow the lessons laid before him with less resistance as the days came and went. He took what he was taught in stride and began to pick things up quicker than most. Sooner than he realized ten years had passed and it was his 16th birthday. The day before he became a fully licensed pilot, good to his word his father returned to see him. Stan took B’enjamin to be tested to get his license. B’enjamin did not disappoint his dad one bit, he proved to have quite a skill for flying and B’enjamin enjoyed it to no end because while he was up there twisting and turning away he didn’t have a care in the world, but once on the ground again he felt that weight of the loss of his mother.

During the week that followed his test everything that his father had done for these last ten years had been told to B'enjamin. Stan told him of the assaults on Imperial bases and of how many less Stormies there were now in the galaxy. B’enjamin showed a bit of joy on hearing this, but knew that none of them were probably the one who killed his mother. Stan had asked him about what he had learned during this time apart. Now it was B'enjamin's turn to tell of his activities and doings. B’enjamin told him of the training he received and that at first he didn’t want to because of the loss he felt with the death of his mother and then Stan running off and leaving him here. He even admitted to going through a time where he hated Stan for leaving him behind. Still with more time he came to grips with his situation. Once that had been done B'enjamin was finally told why he was left at the temple ten years ago. With the death of his mother his Stan sought revenge, and knew B'enjamin would be better left with someone he trusted.

Finally B'enjamin understood everything and was grateful for what his father had done. The conversation turned to the Jedi and this was not something that people talked about until after the Emperor's death. B'enjamin knew little else other than what had been said of Luke Skywalker and the new Academy. Most people still don’t want to get into the history of the Jedi, well that’s not true most don’t know and those who might remember anything are to afraid to talk about it for fear of reprisal. Both B’enjamin and Stan knew that they needed to find a private place to talk at this point and that’s what they set out to do.

They left for a secluded place, and traveled into the woods for a few days before they found the right place to set up camp. Stan told him at this time that his grandfather had once been a well respected Jedi that was killed by Vader. B'enjamin was in shock to learn that his grandfather had been a Jedi. To think that in his family there had been a Jedi, it was almost like a dream. His father admitted that he never learned anything about the Force, but was certain that B’enjamin could follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, because as a father he felt that B'enjamin had the potential to join the new Jedi Order that was forming and be trained as a Jedi. This was the moment that he was told he must choose his path.

Stan gave B’enjamin a small picture of his grandfather. The other things that were given to B'enjamin were, 5,000 credits (Money his father had earned working for the Alliance), and a blaster pistol. B'enjamin couldn't believe it. He wasn't sure what he would do next. They returned a few days later and together they spoke with G'mon about what was discussed in the woods. G’mon smiled and finally understood why B’enjamin had such quick reflexes. He told them they both were welcome to stay for awhile until B'enjamin decided if he wanted to try and follow in his grandfather’s footsteps or not. During the two months that followed Stan became too ill to be cured by any doctor in the galaxy. There weren't too many days after that before his father passed on. B’enjamin didn’t care though because he wanted to be by his father’s side at the end. After the funeral G'mon told B'enjamin he could stay until his 18th birthday, at that time he would need to decide. B’enjamin was grateful for the time to think things through, he began to wonder why until then though.

B’enjamin took this time to meditate on everything and finally came to the decision that he must set out and see if he did have it inside himself to serve the Force. He wished to carry on his grandfather’s legacy and be a champion of justice. While preparing to leave the temple G’mon gave B’enjamin two swords from the armory there. “B’enjamin I know how much you enjoy your skills with these swords, so I present these to you as a gift. I hope you find what you are looking for, and remember only use your training for defense, not attack.

B’enjamin knows little about the Jedi beyond the fact that there is the light and the dark sides of the force. He wonders if his hate for the Empire will hinder his ability to join with the Jedi and restore peace and order to the galaxy. For now B’enjamin travels the galaxy looking for the Jedi hoping to be taken on as a student. He makes his was from planet to planet taking part in the tournaments that they hold. This allows him to keep his credit balance on the positive side, and continue his search for the Jedi and their academy. His hope his that he proves to be worthy of being taken on as a student and begin his training.

Goals: Avenge his mother's death by bringing an end to the Empire. Help restore order and peace across the galaxy.

Quote: “Violence is not always the answer.”

Disadvantages: Starts to feel at rage when seeing the white armor of storm troopers, believes he could have done something to save his mother.

B’enjamin knows little about the Jedi beyond the fact that there is the light and the dark sides of the force. He began his search in nearby planets in the outer rim. He eventually came across a man named Quin who knew little of the force as B’enjamin would come to learn after proving himself through various tasks. Quin studied the boy and eventually began to train him slowly he learned the powers of the Jedi and some of their skills. B’enjamin has only received basic training with a lightsaber. Being unable to learn any more he now wanders the galaxy looking for another who knows the ways of the force to train him.

Both are much the same but the first falls into a different timeline. This is what is required for anyone who wants to play a Jedi in my other game. Actually detailed characters are required everywhere but its cool because it leads to bonus dice. This is the one pre bonus dice I believe I got 16D for my efforts which isn't bad based on a 23D max bonus.

I will be chopping the second BG for posting into the CS thread on the Bloodred Empire PbP.

Yeah, I always like to come up with detailed back stories for all my characters. It gives them a depth right out of the starting gate that many players simply don't give their characters. Plus, it's also always nice to have a GM who will give bonus dice for detail, length, etc... Wink
