i asked the MOG if that would happen, but he said not to the full capacity that Ragnar has...instead of getting a bonus to soak phys damage in areas where i have bone the kid will just have strong bones.

I suppose he only has 50% of Ragnars genes but it shouldn't take much genetic tampering to get the bonus back...

In fact as he starts in a better situation (genetically) than Ragnar he could be altered to a higher degree thus giving him a better soak... Unless Ragnar was already at the height of genetic manipulation.

As for naming... get into character as Ragnar and name your son... After all it's the parent who decides the name of the child... often naming the child after their own idol/hero/friends... What was Tanks name?

I don't think Tank's real name would be appropriate...I mean the reason he liked to be called Tank was because he didn't like his real name... he'd go into a fit of rage and knock out the nearest person if we said it... his real name was "Grubius." Laughing

But you get the idea, think of someone who has influenced Ragnar and name the kid after that person...

Ragnar's little prank that he always played on the new guy when tank was around... he'd take the new guy to the side, and he'd say real quietly... "hey... call him Grubius..."
how many new guys got pwned from that? most of my characters looked at him... and said. "Um, nah, that's ok... I'll leave that kinda stuff to you..."
because tank is a very very imposing figure...

the only time that prank really worked was when i was pulling a con... there was a quioxtic(i don't know how it's spelled) jedi and i sold him a cheap medallion... i told him that it had magical jedi powers and to use them all he had to say was "Grubius"... and of course Tank was by my side when this happened so the wannabe jedi took the medallion and yelled "GRUBIUS!!!" and got pimp smacked across the street...after i took his money of course. Laughing

Seriously, I think everyone should now that Ragnar(the character) has no idea he even has a son, so I think the naming should be left to the mother and father. Think Tapani sector, where Ragnar's son was raised. Personally, I like Rune. Kemen sounds cool. What about Shard or Shar? Cyric is a good one, but sounds to close to, he who must not be named.

ok dude,not to be mean but, for the last time I'M NOT USING RUNE for his name...also we never agreed 100% on Ragnar's son coming from the Tapani Sector...i'd like to review some other options before i make that official.

Just thought I'd throw that out there since it was on the top of my list. Now that the origins are nailed down, being that the son is a spacer working in a family freighter business, we need some suggestions for smuggler names or spacer names. What do you think of Corellian names or old Corellian names like from Socorro? Outer Rim names aren't out of the question either.

finding a name is the most annoying part of character creation for me...i don't know how i manage to do it, I think Ragnar was the easiest name to come up with...well, thanks for the help and i'm still open to ANY and all suggestions. Very Happy
