I think the best character delelopment and most satisfying adventures come out of the moral dilemma.

For example, the PCs have learned about a new Imperial Superweapon that could potentially threaten billions of lives and have a very brief window of opportunity to destroy it, but its destruction will result in a explosion that will cost the lives of millions on a nearby planet.

OR

The characters discover a low-tech alien civilization who have become dependant on an energy source from an alien entity. However this alien entity is being trapped against its will. Can the characters ignore the alien's pleas to be freed or else its release will cause the collapse of the civilization built around it.

OR (and this is my favorite)

You and five hungry gamers have polished off all but the last slice of pizza? Who gets the last piece? Split it six ways thus satisfying no one? WHAT DO YOU DO!!?!???!!

So what are some other ideas for Moral Dilemmas that make good SW Adventures?

give the last piece of pizza to the GM or FEAR HIS WRATH!!!

But yes, moral dilemma's can cause the best character development, if played right. A poor player facing this dilemma will simply follow HIS heart, not his character's heart.

Just as a variation on that, I once presented a group with a situation where the party's two biggest enemies (a Mandalorian clan, and a Hutt's private army; not just some small-time thugs) were about to be wiped out in a massive explosion. The catch was that it would also destroy most of a populated planet. So the party gets to pick between saving their worst enemies, and letting a planet full of people be destroyed.

But yes, I think that with the right group, dilemmas like these can result in some great adventures.
