Im looking for an adventure I used to have. I think its a short adventure in a book of 4 adventures.

From memory:
The characters ship arrives and get damaged from the intense radiation, they need to replace some part of their engine with a shielded version.

On the planet there is a speeder race of some kind when the characters arrive.

Cybernetics are (for some reason) quite common among population.

There are also some bounty hunters after the characters.

Anyone know what adventure this might be, and in what book its published.

Enemies for Life by Stephen Luminati, published in an Adventure Journal (out of memory I'd say #5)
and reprinted in Classic Adventure Volume IV.


Characters are stranded on Echnos City and must participate in the BlastBoat2000 contest to make enough money to pay for some polidex-9 to repair their ship.

Turned out to be a great adventure for me and my players. I incorporated recurring characters and had them return a couple more time to Echnos City, a now well known hive of scum and vilainy in my campaigns.
