*g* Happy Birthday... My 36th was last Saturday... the day after I asked my g/f to marry me... in front of her parents...
I think I'd rather faced Vader, Maul, Cadeus, and Palpatine than do that again...

She did say yes...
Actually, the joke is: She had asked me a few weeks earlier.... this was just for her parent's benefit.
Her mother was ... pleasantly surprised (a nice bit of acting, I thought)... her father was ... quiet, but did congratulate me.
Vong, my advice: if you're going to ask her w/ her parents around... go out to eat and do it.... neutral ground is MUCH better than after supper in the parental home...

lol, thanks. I will probably do it with just the two of us, and we will tell her parents . they like me, and at the same time im stealing their little girl (she is 24, i am 21 ). aswell, we have only been dating for about 2 months. love at first sight basically

That, and if you do it in a restaurant, you're guaranteed to have people rooting for you. I used to work in a fine dining restaurant in Charlotte, NC and all the servers would be cheering the guy on, unbeknownst to the girl in question of course.

Actually, to date, they don't have a name... there was some speculation about them being called "Whills" (I THINK that's right)... but, if memory serves, King George gave that a big "Negative".
