Ok i'm going to begin a bounty hunter campaign for possibly 2 or 3 PCs. It will most likely take place during the Old Republic so im going to need some help with adventure ideas. This will be my first time GM'ing D6 and im going to try to come up with some kind of script so it can keep the game flowing somewhat. I'm not to keen on doing stuff on the fly right now, so i think mapping it out a little will help. Post up some ideads you guys may have, just remember im a noob so don't make it uberly complicated. Laughing

Here's the start of an idea:

The characters have to bring in a slicer. Here's the bounty posting:

Name: Beeta
Species: Rodian
Sex: Male
Age: 28 standard years
Homeworld: Rodia
Bounty 5,000 credits
Known Associates: None
Application Conditions: Alive, lacking serious injury
Crimes: Data theft, unauthorized intrusion into corporate data networks.
Originator: Aelfraed Salu (agent for the Magafeld corporation)
Receiver: Aelfraed Salu, Magafeld corporation headquarters

Asking around at the local cantina will reveal that anyone who seems to have any knowledge of this Beeta is nervous about divulging it. If the characters persuade (either by bribery or brute force) anyone to give them any information, they'll find that Beeta recently started working for an Advozsec crime boss named Nacle. After some more persuasion, the characters learn that Nacle is a fairly minor crime boss, dealing in smaller operations to avoid the notice of law enforcement and fellow crime bosses. Nacle's main source of income comes from the sale of spice. The operation isn't very large, but Nacle has managed to hire some fairly heavy-duty muscle. He employs a Pacithhip named Darvon Hawis, a Houk named Orgen Tsortar and a Gamorrean named Urun as his personal bodyguards. His "right-hand-man" is an Adnerem named Vikos Cearnach. Nacle runs his operation out of the basement of his store, "Nacle's Imports", downtown. The store is a front for his illegal operations. If the characters decide to check out Nacle's Imports, they find that it is a cluttered shop, selling various trinkets from around the galaxy. Vikos is usually found behind the counter, puffing on a Corellian cigar. Darvon, Orgen and Urun are usually in the back room or downstairs with Nacle. The back room is cluttered with crates and boxes, mostly empty. There is a set of stairs leading to the basement. The basement is dimly lit and also cluttered with many crates and boxes. There is a large desk in one corner where Nacle conducts most of his business. Beeta is currently setup in another corner of the basement. His current project is hacking into the local shipping authority's computer system to doctor some ship manifests.

The characters can attempt to enter the basement and capture Beeta by force. A fight with Nacle and his men will ensue. They can wait for Beeta to leave the building and capture him then. At least one of Nacle's bodyguards will be with him at all times, so he'll have protection. The characters can pose as spice buyers and con their way into Nacle's lair.

This is just a start, but could provide some interesting roleplaying sessions...

That's not that big of a deal. This is just an overall idea anyway. You can always expand upon it or even change it completely. You could even use it to your advantage if you wanted to. Assuming your player (thinks he) knows what is going on, it might be easier for you to surprise him with a few twists and turns... Wink

one thing you might want to change is the era. there is more info on the galaxy for times during and past A New Hope which would make it easier for you to GM

Another aspect of that story you could explore is the Magafeld Corporation. What kind of info did Beeta steal from them and why? Maybe Magafeld is into some illicit activities of their own and now Beeta has the information to bring them down. Or maybe Magafeld was developing some new top-secret technology and Beeta stumbled across the plans. Maybe one of Magafeld's competitors hired Beeta to steal the plans to this new technology. This could provide some interesting surprises for the players along the way.

The first game should give you and the players a chance to get the feel of the bounty hunter game and each other.
It should build teamwork skills as well as character attitudes.
You might try a premade adventure, just to get you started.

I once had a Rich bounty, who had dozens of bodygaurds at once, all of which had plastic surgery to make them look like they were her.
Bounty:15,000 creds
race:zehethbra
Crime:Piracy, Murder in the second degree.
She is in charge of a relitively small crime sindicate and is a skilled fighter who leads many raids of impirial/old republic/new republic, she has recently stolen a prototype of a new peice of valuable weaponry. She has been known to reside in the magnas system. She hit two weapon plants symoltaniously, and they are both open for searches by bounty hunters. While at the first plant, you realize that what she stole was a chemcal formula that can burn through metals easily (12D to all metals, and 9D to all non) but is completely resisted by certain plastics. At the second plant, you get attacked by two ancient-looking droids with lightsaber-like weaponson either hand (they cannot be removed sucessfuly without a very difficult droid rep, over time of one week) make up stats for them. The droids have the words "Hellworld inc" on them, and everyone will see that before the droids self destruct (only the chest with a 7D damage burst. If the arms are already off, they do not get destroyd). Anyone who rolls a easy streetwise, knows that that company is belived to be under the control of a syndicate. When you go to their headquarters you can see the bounty getting into a speeder outside the building. If you attack, the person will get out and shoot at you with a big fire arm (guess what's in the bullets Twisted Evil ). The speeder drives away and if you follow it it will have the actual bounty head. She will put up a fight, but not much, unfortunately she is rescued by three more people who look just like her. They take her on a armored speeder, and take her away. If you check the first speeder, you will see one thousand bullets, which you may steal if you want.
If you traced the speeder, or follow the news, you will se that it shot up the entire city, and used the mayhem to cover it's escape. you can tell that it is basicly wandering around town, and if you roll it, you can figure out where it is headed next. When you find them somehow, you must make a moderate perseption check to see that one of them has the scar that you gave her. If you capture her alive, you can get an extra 5,00 creds, because she will admit that she runs Hellworld inc and then the cops can go in and capture all the people in the syndicate. Two days later on the new you see that the cops failed dismally.

Have the bounty to be very elusive, such as a master of disguise. You and the players will have lots of fun trying to find him and the bounty hunters can use all sorts of skills and roleplaying.

jedi hunting would be appropriate in the rebellion era if you wanted to do it. that is when it happened most.

yea but this is ep 4-6 rebellion era, so I don't think Jedi hunting would be appropriate maybe after he is beefed up some more he can go after some Jedi in hiding.

If you don't can't fight a real jedi, then just make a character who seems to be a jedi! Give them a repulser hand, anti-grav boots, and a weapon from Fantastic Technologies that looks just like a lightsaber and shoots a red beam (can't seem to remember what it was called or what it's stats were). Also give him really good reflexes and wonderful perception so it seems like he can teel when anything is coming at him. Be absolutely sure to make him so good, that nobody can stay awake long enough to tell that his skills are just in his kewl weapons and the skill to use them well.
