Adventure 061906 - With Mac's Backstory

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

“Salimon Teff, Cackin Bwallz, Nova Starkiller and Biff McKraken continued to battle against the onslaught of Chrystos. Biff found himself in a large air duct and followed a strange humming sound. His search turned up a Chrystos signal broadcasting and amplification unit. The droid guards began blasting and in desperation, Biff used his personnel mine to blow the unit. Biff fled as flames began to chase him through the tubes. But he was soon totally consumed and killed by the explosion.

"Meanwhile, Salimon, Cackin and Nova continued battling against Chrystos droids in the hangar. Suddenly, all the droids, except the dual saber welding droid battling Cackin, shut down. The last standing droid tried to use the force to kill everybody, but Cackin called again on the dark side to stop the droid. Then a dark dragon mirror appeared and took Cackin through the looking glass. The Chrystos ship began to explode and a stray Chrystos fighter blew through the hangar door.

"Just as things began to look hopeless, a beat up Grock freighter flew into the hangar and landed. A Wookie escorted by a cloud of smoke exited the ship and urged the companions to get on the ship. After determining that Biff was really lost, they boarded the ship and escaped, leaving the Filven humans behind.

"During the trip back to Coruscant, the wookie confessed he was Mac, a former companion of Salimon’s parents. As the two chatted, they came under attack by Chrystos himself…"

This was the first adventure we played since we paused this campaign a year ago. Note, Cackin is gone. The person who played him is no longer playing with us, so I had to come up with a way for him to exit, but I didn;t want to kill him... just in case.

Also, note that Biff bit the dust. This is an interesting story...

During the year-long hiatus, we played a campaign that occured between RotS and ANH. The player who plays Salimon played Agrion Teff, Salimon's father (who showed up in later adventures as a glitterstim addict and Imperial spy). The player who plays Nova played Betty Chosen, Salimon's mother. The player who plays Biff, played Mac, thier wookie companion.

When we decided to head back into this campaign, Biff's player wanted to still stay Mac. So, unbeknownst to the other players, we decided to kill Biff and have Mac enter the scene.

Here's Mac's backstory...
At one point, Agrion, Betty and Mac decided that they were going to score some big dough by hauling glitterstim spice. But their dealer didn’t trust them unless they took some first. They all did, and all continued to dabble a bit, but Agrion really dug it and got hooked.

It wasn’t long after that that thing started to go south. Betty ended up getting knocked up, so she quit the smuggling biz and Mac tried to get out too, but Agrion was hooked. He eventually tricked Mac and sold him to the Empire as a slave.

After a time, Betty arrived in the Mondo Generator (she managed to keep Agrion from pawning it off) and saved him from slavery. But during the escape, she was gunned down. She begged Mac to take care of her son as she died.

Not able to repay his life debt to Betty, Mac placed the life debt with Salimon. Since that time, Mac has tried finding Salimon, but he never was quite able to do it. Discouraged, Mac tried to make the most of his s*** lot and kept an eye out for Salimon. He heard rumors of him, but never found him.

But just the other day, he looked over in his copilot seat and there was a scraggly, drunken old man sitting there all of the sudden. Mac flipped out, but the old man offered some Correlian blue and said,

“Mac… the time has come for you to repay your life debt. Some serious s*** is about to go down and Salimon needs your help now. He’s about to lose some people he is very close to and you will have to be there for him. I know where he is and I will astrogate this ship to where he’s at. Just do me one favor, when you meet him, tell him that Beaumont sent ya!”
