The Rebels have destroyed the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin. Angered by this defeat, the Empire has vowed to hunt down and extinguish the Rebel Alliance. Guided by probe droids and deep-cover spies, the Imperial Fleet has sent it's powerful Star Destroyers far and wide to eliminate any Rebel activity. The Empire has at its command thousands of TIE fighters, AT-AT walkers, and dreaded Imperial stormtroopers. These forces are didcated to the destruction of the Rebel Alliance.

Far off in the Outer Rim, Rebel X-wing starfighters have wreadked havoc on Imperial shipping. Striking from a hidden base on Edan II, the Rebels have captured valuable supplies, weapons and medicine to aid the Alliance in the Galactic Civil War. Their successes have been small. If they continue, Edan Base could pose a greater threat to the Empire.

Through a complex network of underground sources, the hidden Base sends requests to secret organizations backing the Rebellion. These organizations in turn, set out to hire ships to carry supplies to the base. One of these hired hands, the crew of the Iron Kast, a free range crew working for the highest payers, has been added to the list.

Sending out notices to selected individuals, whether for specialization within their field or knowledge of the Empire and the Rebellion, the Kast brothers have sent out for temporary crew members to assist in the mission. Requested to rendesvous and meet in a small diner located on the lower levels of Imperial City for briefing. Greeted by an immense Barabel, the small group of strangers is led into the restaurant, unknowingly setting of on their adventure.

The fact that the Iron Kast was an old Theta-class shuttle was enough to convince Soniv to join. He had heard of these aging transports from his days at Sienar Tech, and how they had primarily been replaced by the joint project between Sienar and Cygnus, the Lambda-class shuttle. He never did get to see a working one, and this was his chance, all the while helping to defeat the Empire.

As for his skills, he signed up intending to be a part of the technical crew. While his forte primarily lay with starfighters, he had picked up a bit of transport repair from his days in the Alliance, and weapons really didn't differ all that much from ship to ship; only their size was different, and that really didn't matter in terms of skill.

While not xenophobic by any means, the sight of a Barabel still instilled some nervousness in Soniv, and he responded by not saying a word, simply following the directions given to him. He was uneasy, and it showed.

Being in Imperial City vaguely reminded him of being at home, in Lianna, and that only made matters worse. He recalled all sorts of memories, both good and bad. His graduation from Sienar Technical Academy was compounded by his demolition of the SFS Plant. Memories of him frolicking with his family as a child went to seeing his home leveled to the ground. Every good memory had a corresponding ill one, and he honestly didn't know how to feel anymore.

He sat at the table assigned to him, looking around for whoever it was he was supposed to meet here.

Opening the door, the Barabel grunts as you enter the small restaurant. The interior of the restuarant resembles that of what you might find in the mess hall of your average freighter except on a larger scale with more tables and a quiet symphonic melody playing in the background.

As you sit at your assigned table, a large figure wearing a black tunic approaches you. As you look up from the table, you see him as a large reptilian Besalisk, two of it's arms hanging at his side as two others hold a datapad and a stylus. The only off shooting feature is the graying goatee growing from his chin and the holo-pin labeling him as a manager.

After having recently defected from the empire, his funds were runnign low, so he and to find a job somewhere, or find a new crew to hang around with. On the first public planet that hed been to in a long time, ran into an organization which was looking for a crew to run things for the rebellion. having lost his love for the ideals of the empire, he signed up.

He is quite adept at using the sniper rifle. His primary job with the Imperial Stormtrooper Special Forces was to lead his group, and lead them he did. he never lost a man on his missions. Obviously his secondary job was to provide sniper cover, and survailence.

He flet well at home in the Imperial City, as he grew up and still has some nastalga for the Empire. He wishes that the Empire had not grown so evil from the great ideal from which it started.

Aways the man who had been in charge of his group, he sits down at the front of the table, ready to talk to the person who is comming to meet him and his group.

Intrigued by the request for his help on a difficult hunt where both braun and brain would be needed to outwit or defeat a more powerful prey, Brakk found himself unable to help but answer this strange notice.

Arriving at the at the diner indicated in the notice Brakk noticed a fellow Barabel standing security at the door. Brakk locked eyes with the Barabel from quite a distance and held his gaze solidly as he approach. When at one meters distance Brakk gave a traditional but confrontational Barabel saluation. "Nalakhh Hohh" and clasped right arms with the other Barabel in greeting and competition. Both sqooze and torqed the others arm with great force while the rest of their bodies remained motionless and eyes remained locked. After approximately five seconds the other Brabel grunted "Khalas" and released his grip in surrender.

Brakk then quickly and pleasantly asked his brother Barabels name, family, and region of Barabel. When they concluded exchanging the very breif family histories (Brakk, son of Korral, of the Niss Mountains) as was custom, the door barabel lowered his head in respect - to him who had bested him - and polietly pointed Brakk to his assigned table.

Brakk approached the table, and overhearing the Baseliks question responded - "roast Hoska, fries and an ale" - and then took a seat between at the far end of the table from the human looking like he wanted to be in charge, and ignorned him.

The Besalisk quickly scribbles the order down on the pad. As he does, his two other hands reach into his apron and begin placing silverware on the table. As he finishes writing, he turns and looks at the next person expectingly.

Soniv pondered for a second before placing his order. It was a remote chance, but it might be possible that this establishment had food from his home world. If not, he could make do with whatever they had to eat, but eating synthfood all the time had begun to wear on him; he needed heat, variety, flavor. Deciding on his favorite dish, he placed his prospective order.

"Do you by any chance have Liann lill spiced potted meat in choya shell?"

"We just got a shipment a few days ago." The Besalisk smiles and continues to scribble on his datapad, his two free arms now placing napkins around the table.

Mara had always hated the empire for killing the jedi. Even though she had never been within their ranks, her father had. And he had left only a few years befor order 66. Being on smuggler runs all her life, she was well experianced in piloting ships, and getting things from place to place. And with a chance to help the alliance, she just had to sign on.

After entering the resteraunt, she takes her seat and looks at the menu. "You have dass meat here? If so, thats what I want, but anything meaty will do. And White wine to drink. Thank you." She says, handing the waiter her menu.

She then looks at the other beings in the resteraunt (a search action for anything hostile seeming).

Again, the Besalisk scribbles down on his datapad but this time a set of two horned shadows shadows dimly cast themselves by the light spread over the table by the ambient lighting of the restaurant. Behind the reptilian Besalisk, two Zabrak approach, one of them putting his hand on the alien's shoulder, "Sorry, Bandon. You're going to have to cancel those orders. We've got some business to take care of and don't have time for food."

The Besalisk turns around and faces the two new figures, "Ahh, Sarm. So these guys are your new crew?" He scratches his chin in thought then turns back to your table, "In that case if you'll all follow me i'll take you to the back room so you can all talk in privacy."

Soniv got up, sighing a bit as he figured that the mission would mean more synthfood; active duty didn't give much time for anything else. He looked around, then headed to the back room, following the two Zabrak that appeared to be his employers.

He looked at his company a bit as he walked towards the back room with them, trying to discern any details about them.

Among the present group, Soniv notices three human males and one human female as well as the immense Barabel accomanying them, each one eying the others out much like he was.

As you all reach the end of the hall, you come to a small box-like room void of all windows and only the small door for entering and exit. The room is colored the dull gray of an average freighter much like the rest of the retaurant. Standing in the center of the room is a single table identicle to the ones outside albeit considerably larger.

The Besalisk motions to the table, "Please. Sit." He then turns back to the Zabraks, "I've activated the static jammers. No way that anyone could listen in if they wanted to." The alien then bowns and turns out the door, closing it behind him.

Sitting down, Soniv waited for the others to take their seats. He was used to tight security measures, both in his days at Sienar and in the Alliance. This was nothing new to him.

The fact that the crew primarily consisted of humans piqued his curiosity; he would have imagined a more diverse crew for an anti-Imperial operation, given the Imperial Human High Culture movement.

Ultimately, it didn't matter to him. Human or not, they signed up for this to hurt the Empire, right? So they must be good people, right? At least that's what his inner monologue told him.
