I think it is becuase it is Stun only. But yes it is nice and cheap with 6D unmodified damage and a 45degree firing arc _________________ ***witty remark under construction - coming soon to a board near you*** |

yea, alot of people prefer stun only weapons. so it would cost the same as a regular weapon. the 45 degree fire arc is wicked, but the only think limiting is 5m range. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

at least it can be increased 25% range and up too 7D+2 STUN. I wonder if my DM will let me up its rate of fire _________________ ***witty remark under construction - coming soon to a board near you*** |

It's cheap for a variety of different reasons.
One: Short Range. 10 Metres is *NOT* far.
Two: Stun Only. Hey, it's for Customs work.
Three: 1/2 Fire Rate. That's every other turn, folks.
Four: That's the price charged to "Legitimate Purchasers". That being Customs Agents, Police Forces, Riot Control, Bounty Hunters (With proper permits, which are expensive), and Privateers (With the same permits as Bounty Hunters.).
Buying it on the invisible market... Well... The prices just go up and up and up! |

It's a Shotgun, pure and simple. Slow fire rate, short range, good spread, and high damage.
There's a Blaster version as well to make it lethal damage. |

that is quite true. but usually high damage is for the close range, and lower damage is for longer range with shotgun - more like a directed grenade blast _________________ The Vong have Arrived

Ya, well, 10 Metres is spitting distance. You don't get much shorter than that. |

true. in the star wars universe i guess it makes more sense. keep trying to picture it as an actual shot gun, not an energy weapon. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

Are they carbines/rifles or pistols? If they're pistols I can picture someone using them in close combat situations. With the 45 degree arc you could probably even use it in your off hand while you used a melee weapon in your good hand _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.
