Physical Description: While he might be considered somewhat tall and lanky when compared to an average Human male, Kit is nonetheless considered rather short and muscular for a Duros. His attentive red eyes contrast markedly against his dark blue-green skin, and at times almost seem to glow in their intensity. Instead of the traditional orange, Kit instead wears a dark green flight suit which bears no marking aside from his rank, which identifies him as a Second Lieutenant. Kit has two tattoos; both are slim, jagged, elongated curvilinear designs of unknown origin or meaning. The first stretches from the side of his right shoulder, over his collarbone, and up the right side of his throat, while the other begins at his left elbow and curls around his forearm once to terminate just before reaching the knuckles on his left hand. A medpac is attached to the right side of his belt, and sitting across from it in a cross-draw holster is a BlasTech DL-6H heavy blaster pistol, while a vibroblade is strapped to the outside of his right boot.

Background: Kit Darjeel was born in 22 BBY on one of the many space stations orbiting Duros, and grew up on his parents' freighter. While his parents made an effort to educate him as best they could, all too often their enthusiasm for flying allowed Kit to skip his lessons to learn the art of piloting, his true passion. After he turned eighteen, Kit returned to Duros and entered the Duros Defense Force's starfighter corps. There, he further honed his skills as he piloted a variety of aging fighter craft such as the Toscan 8-Q and the venerable Z-95 Headhunter, patrolling the system and defending transports from pirate attacks. After the defeat of the Rebel forces in the Battle of Vnas, Kit resigned his commission with the DDF and left the Duros system to seek out and join the Alliance. His parents, while worried and saddened to see him go, gave him their blessing. Before he departed, Kit's father gave him a brand new heavy blaster, which the young fighter pilot still carries to this day.

After several weeks, Kit found himself in an urban hot zone after Imperial ground troops attacked several hundred protesters on the planet Fest. Seconds after the Imperial troops opened fire, dozens of Rebels emerged from windows and rooftops to rain down destruction on the troops below. Joining the fight, Kit participated in his first battle against the Galactic Empire. As soon as all civilians had fled the scene and before the Imperials could reorganize, the Rebels retreated, Kit among them. So began his career as a member of the Rebel Alliance.

Kit trained under Garven Dreis as an X-wing pilot and was stationed at Tierfon Fighter Base for several months, after which he was assigned to a temporary special missions flight. Conducting a series of hit-and-fade attacks along major shipping lanes in the Inner Rim, Kit and his wingman managed to force the Empire into expending its resources to protect its assets in sectors previously thought to be beyond the scope of Rebel operations. Due to proper planning and flawless execution, a two-being X-wing flight was able to divert an impressive amount of Imperial forces away from the Rebellion's true targets in the Mid and Outer Rim. At the time of the Battle of Yavin, Kit and his wingman were on their way back to rendezvous with a transport departing from Alderaan. Unbeknownst to the pilots, Alderaan had been destroyed only a brief time before, leaving nothing but asteroids and other space debris in the wake of its destruction. As they emerged from hyperspace, Kit's wingman collided with one such asteroid and was instantly killed in the resulting explosion. With a heavy heart, Kit returned to Yavin to find the headquarters being hastily evacuated. Kit was quickly assigned to assist in the evacuation, specifically as an escort for the numerous transports leaving the system. It was not until several days later that he discovered that Garven Dreis, his mentor, had died in the assault on the Death Star's trench. When Rebel High Command decided to form its first special missions groups, Kit was one of the first to apply, scoring well in small arms combat in addition to his already exemplary record as an X-wing pilot.

Personality: Normally a quiet individual, Kit is nonetheless a social being once one gets to know him, and loves to laugh. Unlike many other starfighter pilots, he does not try to distance himself from his comrades in order to prevent heartache in the event of their death. While saddened by the loss of friends, Kit makes a point of reminding himself that he has a tangible outlet on which to unleash his grief and anger: the Empire. To date, this has not gotten him into trouble, although his superiors have at times been quietly concerned because of it. Like most Duros, Kit has an intense dislike for Neimoidians, and mistaking him for one is almost sure to precipitate a fight.

Kit lives to fly in head-to-head combat, and may actually seem depressed if he goes too long without mixing it up in the cockpit. In such cases he may be temporarily appeased by allowing him to engage in a shootout with Imperial troops. In his spare time, Kit wants to learn how to understand the astromech language and become a competent X-wing mechanic.

Nicah Helrayn - Primitive and fierce...almost feral. Shares an odd connection with Eronnian. I have no idea what it was that she did back there---or if it was even her---but she knows what happened, which is more than I can say for myself. She is most assuredly dangerous to Imps, but this one may be a danger to the rest of the team as well.

Judu Iolial - It seems Allied Command has seen fit to put the two least-qualified officers in charge of this team; a starfighter pilot (yours truly) and Iolial. Our commander seems more suited to being a mentor to green recruits. Keeping them alive long enough to learn the basics of being revolutionaries and such. A friendly face in a war that's anything but. Unfortunately, this team needs a strong leader who can command a group of highly-trained operatives. Diverse, argumentative, and insubordinate operatives, at that. Only time will tell if Iolial turns out to be the being I hope he is---for all our sakes. Not ordering the team to set blasters to stun will likely be the first sign of changing winds.

Dak Eronnian - Eronnian seems obsessed with Nicah, for what reason I cannot be sure. He seems as if he wishes to court her, but there's something else there as well. Regardless, I doubt that it's healthy. He seems reluctant to fight at first (he doesn't even carry a blaster), but is at least somewhat skilled when the blaster bolts start flying.

Syv Nevarene - Decent enough in a fight, keeps her mouth shut when no one else can manage to, and has one of the coolest heads under fire I've seen. Nevarene is a solid all-around soldier, it would seem. And you just can't dislike a good medic.

Kidjim Dasol - Seems mostly harmless, but not a bad hand with a blaster. Knows his way around things that go boom, as well.

Zwie Hander - Excruciatingly annoying, slightly less so when shot. Why is he here?

Alliandra - Level-headed and a hot hand in a freighter, the Wroonian nevertheless seems a bit skittish around the rest of the group. Though truth be told, this is arguably convincing evidence that she may be the only sane one in the bunch.

Kaedynn Xy'Tel - The Teltior is my new wingman when we're in the air, although I'm not sure of his ability. He's been trained, but lacks combat experience in a fighter. He seemed decent enough in the asteroid field, but "decent enough" doesn't keep you or your wingman alive in a dogfight. Piloting abilities aside, Xy'Tel is a veritable monster in small arms combat. He actually seems to enjoy it. He's possibly a danger to the team, but so far has shown a relatively level head and a willingness to follow orders.

Ven Bralor - Everything about this man rubs me the wrong way. Countermanding orders over which he should have no input, threatening team members, and generally making me want to indulge in a bit of friendly fire, Bralor is on the short list. Still, as much as I'd like to suspect him of being a spy for the Imps, I have to believe that anyone in Imperial Intelligence would have enough sense to be far more subtle than he. Nevertheless, I still consider him a definite danger to the team and its mission.

Judu grew up on his home planet (Yablari) in relative peace. His father was a security expert for one of the larger corporations, and decided that he wanted to start his own company. His father started the Iolial and Son company in hopes that Judu would join him on the endeavour when he was old enough. Judu spent a lot of his childhood in his fathers workshop playing with various security devices. His father could recognize his sonís passion for the technology and nurtured it. Judu was given challenges, and gifts wrapped in safety boxes that he had to open to receive the gift. It wasnít long before the son had passed the father in ability. By age 16 Judu had developed his own security system for his room, which was only to prevent his parents from snooping. Judu went to university to study engineering, with a minor in law. He learned much that he could apply to his fatherís business.
Their business grew, but not too much, as they wanted it to remain father and son. It became one of the most reputable companies in the area, but him and his father refused to let the company grow. His family was very well off, and never had to worry about money. They had contracts left right and center, from a small home security, to a business needed a full blown security overhaul. A company would hire Judu to break in and steal something; giving the item in question back and detailing how he broke in. He was caught a few times doing this by the company, but never had to worry about repercussions as he was being hired to do this.
On Juduís 30th birthday his father gave him another gift in a secured box, but this time Judu could not open it up. It was locked solid, so he worked on it for hours, a little bit at a time. It was on his 41st birthday that his father died. It was his last week on the job before retiring, and the Empire showed up. They came down, and picked the most reputable security company, which was Iolial and Son. They demanded to his father that he crack some code, and his father refused. He would not break into something that was not his. They killed him, and the rest of his family. Judu was lucky, that he was on vacation at the time. Judu came home to be crushed that his family had been killed. He decided then and there that he would bring the fight to the empire. He advertised that he wanted to sell the company, and quickly got a buyer, paying a handsome sum for it.
Judo bought a transport off the planet, and went to find the rebellion that he had heard in the news. It wasnít long before he found the rebellion, and actually broke into their secret headquarters. He spoke to the CO, whose chair he was in when he arrived in the base, about joining. He agreed, as long as he beefed up security at the base.
After fulfilling his part of the deal, he was briefed on various security devices that the Rebellion is currently using, offered some suggestions on improvements. The decided he would be well suited to a small team, needing to get into places quietly. He was assigned to a team. He was with that team for 4 years. The whole team raised in rank, and prestige. They did many small missions, most of them successful. He lost a few friends along the way, but he managed to survive.
The Rebellion broke up this team, as they became short of officers fit to lead. They got each team member to lead a new team. Judu was put in charge of a green team, and he set it upon himself to teach the new recruits the way to stay aliveÖ

Objectives: To lend his skills to the next generation, and help out the rebellion.

Memoirs of Judu.

I have been assigned to a new team, and I have been placed in charge of the team.  I just hope i can pass on my experience onto a younger generation so they can live longer.  Here is what i have come to learn about my team so far.

Syv: more then competent medic, but nervous about messing up.  Might hold herself at too hight of a standard, and it pushes her to do her best.

Alliandra: Competent pilot, but a bit naive.  Completely at home in the cockpit.  Keeps her head around her

Nicah: Seems like a competent warrior, with a past she does not want to talk about.  I believe she is hiding something, but it does not seem like anything that will cause problems

Kit: Strives for approval of his superiours, and holds himself to a high standard.  Seems like a competant pilot, and will follow any orders given to him.  He needs to learn to question orders if needed.

Kidjim: Supply officer, good with machinery, weapons and armourer.  Seems to know his stuff, and is practical.  He records all the information he is told, so he seems quite organized.

Kaedynn: skilled pilot, but a bit stuck up.  Thinks himself superior to others around him, but keeps his opinions to his self, for the most part.

Dak: over confidant of his abilities, and very secretive of them at the same time.

Jelo: Quiet so far, so not much to write about him

Zwie: A member, or an ex-member of high society.  I think he was outcast, or exiled from his home, as some of his mannerisms are that of a lower class person.  Will follow orders, so most of his

Ven: full of himself, walks with a purpose.  Thinks himself superior, and judges those around him harshly.  unfortunately he has skills to back up his opinion of others around him.  He needs to learn never to question the leader in front of his  men, any good leader always knows to keep any criticism private from the men.  Seems like he could be the imperial spy on this base, he is placed high enough, and seems to have a few imperial mannerisms...

BACKGROUND: Dak Eronnian spent the first sixteen years of his life in the care and tutelage of a large but little-known sect of assassins-for-hire inhabiting a high-gravity world in the Solacton system. This sect, to those even aware of its existence, is known as Exploding Fist. His every waking moment was spent honing his mind and body into a living, breathing weapon. Dak was taught the use of a myriad of weapons of every style, from archaic projectile weapons to missile and laser weapons. Dak excelled at one-on-one combat, especially with empty-hand techniques and with bladed weapons. This particular sect had learned long ago how to tap into an individual’s life force, or ka, to produce some extraordinary effects. Dak was a natural in this as well and learned quite quickly, advancing rapidly past his fellow students—even most of the advanced Apprentices. He was so advanced, in fact, that he began to be sent on solo missions when he was fifteen, an historical accomplishment among his people. Dak was well-schooled in the art of disguising himself, a vital skill in his profession, and one that further led to his early solo career.

It was on one of these missions, however, that Dak’s universe was completely shaken to the core. While scoping out a target, Dak got the feeling he was being watched. He immediately hid and searched for the cause, but didn’t detect anyone. He resumed his vigil and once his target was in a preferred location, attacked. The assault was thwarted, however, by an old man wielding a laser sword, the likes of which Dak had never seen before. The interloper’s blade cut clean through Dak’s sword, and his target got away. Rather than killing him, however, the old man explained the reason he had interfered.

The oldster said he was once a member of the Order of the Jedi Knights, a once proud and flourishing group of peacekeepers that had been summarily wiped out by Emperor Palpatine and his henchman, Darth Vader. They’d killed as many Jedi as they could find to remove the last obstacle barring them from total galactic domination. They had, however, been unsuccessful in killing all the Jedi, however. There was at least one left, the old man said, taking a bow. He then looked Dak in the eye and said, “I have sensed ENORMOUS Force potential in you, my boy. In fact, you’re using it and probably don’t even realize you’re doing so.” He proceeded to explain the Jedi Code, their former way of life, and told Dak many stories over the next several days about life in the Jedi Temple and of many of the missions he’d been on. He’d told Dak that he wanted to train the young man in the ways of the Force and of the Jedi; Dak had replied that if he agreed to go with the old man he’d have to turn his back on everything he’d ever known; he’d failed to kill his target. At this point he could continue to attack until he was successful or he could simply never return home. The old man’s tales had sparked feelings in Dak that he’d never had before, feelings of remorse for so coldly taking the lives of his targets. Knowing he could never resolve this and remain an assassin he agreed to go with the Jedi and learn from him.

Dak spent the next five and a half years traveling with the old Jedi and learning the ways of the Force. He learned how to more consciously and easily tap into his ka, which was simply another name for the Force. He learned how dangerously close he’d come to being swallowed by the dark side, as his former teachers and mentors so obviously had been. He continued to hone his fighting skills, as they would still be quite important to him as long as the Empire was in existence. Dak learned to live by the Jedi Code, to further conceal himself—both visually and within the Force—and to be a keeper of the peace, not an assassin for hire.

Dak’s world was rocked when his Master was killed during an Imperial mission to subdue an uprising on one of their many occupied worlds. Dak and his Master fought valiantly, but in the end it proved to be not good enough. Dak’s final instructions were to “blend in, become invisible, but always remember to follow the Jedi Code.” Dak watched in utter wonder as his Master’s body disappeared before him. Eyes brimming with tears and fighting down the rage threatening to overcome him, Dak quickly gathered up his Master’s belongings, rushed back to their rented ship to retrieve the rest of their things. He then returned the ship and promptly disappeared among the populace, blending in as though he’d always been there. Dak watched the Empire move in and brutally subjugate the population, secretly continuing to train until an opportunity to leave presented itself.

Dak spent the next few months hopping from place to place, relying on the Black Sun contacts he had from his assassin days for small jobs until one day he followed what could only be the pull of the Force, and managed to meet a recruiter for the Rebel Alliance. It didn’t take long for Dak to agree to join up; as the only truly viable avenue for dealing some serious hurt to the Empire, he felt as though this must be the will of the Force.

Now Dak is determined to use his abilities and even his ties to Black Sun for good. He takes special pleasure at being able to utilize the huge crime syndicate’s resources to further the Alliance’s cause.

Form I (Shii-Cho)
This form is the most basic form of lightsaber combat. Its first moves are not so much intended for
combat but more to learn body control. Later teachings provide the student with rudimentary fighting
moves, while training and especially mastery in that basic form can prove to be very powerful in duels.

Requirements: none

Action: Heavy Strike Difficulty: +5 Effect:A two-handed strike that hits the opponent hard, and therefore deals +1D damage.
Action:Swing Attack Difficulty:+1 Effect:The Jedi moves the blade in a wide circle and is able to strike two opponents at once without penalty. However the opponents have to be within 180 degree in front of the striking character and only receive –1D damage, since the hit is fast and slighter than when hit directly. Additionally the character receives –2D to parry or dodge rolls towards these two opponents, since the move makes the combatant open to attacks.
Action:Quick Parry Difficulty:+10 Effect:The fighter parries an incoming attack and moves in a way that blocks the enemy’s movement. The two characters have to make an opposing dexterity roll or the attacker falls to the ground.

Form X (Jar'Kai)
Form X teaches the art of using two lightsabers in combat. While many Jedi learn the basics of that
form, only few ever master it. Form X has one primary weapon used solely for attack, while the second
blade can be used for defense or offense. Due to extensive training, the Jedi is used to using two
weapons at once, therefore the penalty for using an additional weapon is reduced to –2, instead of
-1D. However off-hand penalties still apply where necessary. Some species have more than two
hands or comparable limbs. In that case the –2 modifier applies to all limbs carrying a lightsaber. This
modifier counts only for Form X maneuvers. If the Jedi wants to use another form with two blades, the
standard –1D penalty applies.

Requirements: Dexterity 3D

Action:Blade Shield Difficulty: +5 Effect:The Jedi circles both blades in front of him, spinning them and by that creating a shield in front of him. This gives him a +2D bonus to any parry rolls. However this has to be the only action of the Jedi in that round besides basic movement.
Action:Double Sweep Difficulty:+15 Effect: The Jedi grabs both sabers upside-down and moves both hands from an outward position and back again. Any opponent within that 180 degree angle is hit twice. However the quickness reduces the damage by –1D-1.

Nicah - Dak is full of mixed emotions about Nicah. She is obviously a Force user, which Dak has been searching and praying for since his Master was killed. Although from a tradition completely alien to that of the Jedi, he can sense that there is much he can learn from her, and vice versa. Dak is very much looking forward to getting to know Nicah.

Judu - Dak will give Judu (at least his rank) the respect deserved by a commander. He is well-acquainted with authority and knows that when the chain of command breaks down, chaos ensues. He knows it because that's something he's used to gain access to targets before. However, if he sees Judu not able to bring his unit together, Dak will likely begin to act more as a rogue agent-it's what he's used to- and will very likely stick quite close to Nicah regardless of what else he does, due to her training and their potential exchange of knowledge.

Kit - Kit appears, to Dak, almost like he's trying too hard. He's eager to prove himself to his commander, and eager to give orders. A very zealous soldier, his fervor in battle has already cost him the respect of at least one of the team. This one will have to look to those with more command (and battle) experience to learn to calm his nerves under fire, and how to properly motivate his men. Otherwise, it's going to either be a long, hard road or a short, painful one.

Syv - Syv seems to be a bit of an enigma. She's a medic, but almost appears to like combat. Dak's not sure yet what to make of her, but will definitely work to protect her in battle, because she becomes invaluable when someone is wounded.

Alliandra - Has already proven herself to be a very competent pilot, having brought us safely through an asteroid field WHILE under fire. Sure, she had help, but she was at the controls, so she gets the bulk of the credit. Beyond her obvious skills, Dak is still forming opinions about her.

Kidjiim - Seems to be a bit exasperated about the way the current combat is going. He appears to be a competent soldier so far; Dak hopes he can keep his composure together as they deal with these stormtroopers.

Jelo - The guy definitely likes his food. He ALWAYS has SOME kind of food on his person, and seems to be always eating. He is either a glutton or his kind places high value on food. Either way, Dak is honored that Jelo offered him some of this food, because in either case it would b ea sacrifice to do so.

Ven - The jury's still out about this one. Sure, he's been serving on this base for a while, but he seems to have an over-inflated sense of self. We will need to see if he turns out to be worth the hype he places on himself.

Kaedynn - Kaedynn is another who seems to think higher of himself than he ought. Reportedly a trait of pilots, fighter pilots in particular, this isn't completely unexpected. However, Kaedynn seems to take this a few levels past the norm, and Dak notices this getting on others' nerves.

Zwei - What can we say about Zwei that hasn't already been said? He acts like he believes himself to be royalty.He certainly believes himself above everyone in our party. He will show only grudging respect for someone who has demonstrated great skill in some area, TO HIM. And he'll at least acknowledge the chain of command that is in place. Seems to hail from a feudal-type society, because he gave that general more deference than anyone, and did it before he'd seen his rank. That speaks of respect for elders, which Dak knows is not prevalent in all societies. Still, the pompous windsac might prove to be of some use to the party. Presumably he's got SOME desirable skills, else he wouldn't be here. It just remains to be seen whether or not these skills will be worth the colossal pain in the keester Zwei is proving to be.

Background: Syv was born on board a cargo transport her mother worked on as a co pilot. She was raised on ship and was most often found in the medical bay assisting the ships medical officer who she had become good friends with and learned much from. In all actuality, it wasn’t until she matured around age 5 and her mother kicked her off the ship on Adarlon that she had even set foot on an actual planet. She had the clothes on her back and a few hundred credits which did not last her long on a world such as this. When her money was almost gone she set out to find some sort of job.

She didn’t have to look further than the spaceport before she was picked up as a deckhand aboard the Orion Wanderer, an independent light shipping freighter. She set off with the crew and it was quickly realized that although she was a Rybet who are known for being good spacers, and although she had quite literally spent 99% of her life on a starship, she was a very poor spacer. It was decided by the captain that she would be let go on the next planet they came to and he even had a mind to charge her for passage. Fate would have something else in mind however when one of the deckhands suffered serious wounds in the cargo bay when some of the netting snapped and he was crushed beneath the few crates which broke loose. Syv quickly showed her usefulness as a very talented medical tech. And so it went that Syv remained with the Wanderer for the next 3 years of her life.

She was content as it were being a member of this crew and things were going fairly well up until she began to experience some physical symptoms to which she had no immediate diagnosis. She kept this hidden as best she could from the other members of her crew but they did begin to notice her increased aggression, temper and how increasingly irritable she was becoming. After a month of enduring these symptoms with no clue as to the cause it quickly dawned on Syv what was happening: she had gone into heat.

She told her captain what was happening and he opted to head for the nearest spacer planet he could find hoping she could find a Rybet male there. The captain found a small world close to the outer rim named Neinor and gave the crew an extended shore leave and Syv set out to find herself a mate. It did not take her too long to sniff one out and it wasn’t long until the two of them were in her cabin aboard the Wanderer. Syv found herself experiencing a whirlwind of emotions. Her utter despise for this male Rybet was being fueled by her already short temper and conflicting with her physical urges and it came to be too much for the young Rybet to handle. She flew into a blind rage and when her rage subsided she found herself standing over a battered and bloody Rybet male. Rather than rush him to the medical bay, Syv simply left, and the young male died there on the floor in her quarters.

When the crew and the captain returned to the Wanderer and found the dead Rybet, they immediately contacted the local Imperial authorities. He may have been a spacer, but the captain was a ‘by the rules’ kind of guy and this was definitely not something he was willing to sweep under the rug. Syv was picked up several hours later wandering the streets alone. She was quickly arrested, tried and found guilty of murder.

The Imperials imprisoned her in their small garrison and she was far from a cooperative or ideal prisoner. Syv was still experiencing the physical side effects of being in heat and as such, she was very unruly and aggressive towards her captors, or anyone really that came near her. She received several beatings from her captors as well as other ‘disciplinary measures’ over the course of the next 3 weeks until finally her heat broke. She became quiet and withdrawn then and the Imperials thought they had finally been successful in ‘breaking her.’ In all actuality, they had only succeeded in fueling her anger and temper. Once she was back in better control of her emotions she took that anger and hid it deep down somewhere inside of her where it boiled and brewed itself into outright rage and fury.

About a year after being imprisoned the Imperial garrison found itself under attack from a small group of local rebels; the leader of their local cell had been imprisoned shortly before Syv and they were conducting a raid to free him. During the raid Syv was also set free and the first of her captors she was to come across received a full dose of her bottled up anger through her fist and foot. The rebels freed their leader as well as several other prisoners and the group of them escaped into the streets of the city under cover of darkness. Once they were in relative safety the other freed prisoners went their separate ways but the rebel leader having been witness to Syvs beatings and torture offered to take her with them. They were leaving this planet he told her, to join up with the official rebel alliance. He took pity on her for what she had gone through and he promised her if she joined the alliance with them, she would have the chance to hurt the Empire that had hurt her so. Syv jumped at the chance.

Personality: Syv has some glaringly obvious anger management issues. This is a side of her she does not like and she works to control her temper as best as she can. She has found that physical activity seems to work best as an outlet for her anger and so she spends as much of her free time as possible running, lifting, beating a heavy bag, swimming, climbing, jumping, etc. She is also embarassed about her lack of spacer skills. She knows most people regard Rybet as very adept in the cockpit and her skills are very poor in this field. Deep down inside she is a compassionate person which is one reason the medical field came so naturally to her, she does genuinely care about others and she enjoys trying to help them. Unfortunately her recent anger issues and her attempt to reign in her emotions take precedence and so she tends to come off as cold and unfeeling most of the time.

Objectives: To hurt the Empire, plain and simple, in any way she can.

Background: Zwie Hander was one of a small group of young nobles from House Calipsa who discovered a cache of lightsabers that had once belonged to the Jedi of House Pelagia and began dueling with them as one of the first Saber Rakes. Unlike some of the other Calipsan nobles in his group, Zwie started looking at how the lightsabers were constructed and began toying with making his own. Though he was not the first noble to carry a lightfoil, he was considered one of the finest makers of the early lightfoils and was also one of the first in the Tapani Sector to actually kill someone in a saber duel.

Unfortunately for him, the person he killed was the son to the second in the line of succession to rule House Melantha. As he was the great grandson to Lord Weston Warsheld, the ruler of House Calipsa, his actions could have lead to a war between the two houses had Warsheld not banished him from his house.

In actuality, Weston Warsheld did not banish his great grandson from his house. Rather than do so, he sent him away to the remote Coorimbus system where House Calipsa was secretly mining corusca stones at the gas giant Coorimbus IV. The Coorimbus system was so remote that it could only be reached by a series of micro jumps known only to a few within House Calipsa. As no one else in the Tapini sector even knew of the system’s existence, it made the perfect hiding place for Zwie.

That is until Warsheld began hearing rumors that Lord Bal Jaset of House Melantha might have been sending members of his house in secret to assist the Empire in operating something called a Death Star. Feeling a need to monitor House Melantha and the Empire’s actions while at the same time appearing to not have House Calipsa supporting this foolish Rebel Alliance, Warsheld sent Zwie on a secret mission for just that purpose. As Zwie was supposed to have been banished from House Calipsa, Warsheld knew that his apparent joining of the Rebellion would be viewed as a man who had already disgraced himself bring more disgrace on himself rather than the house itself.

And so Zwie left Coorimbus in search of the Rebel Alliance. He packed the latest lightfoil he’d made while in his apparent exile, along with his favorite sporting blaster and left the Tapani sector. Yet soon after leaving the sector he learned of the Battle of Yavin. Perhaps his mission had been for naught, until he realized that anyone Lord Jaset had sent might not have been on this Death Star when it was destroyed. More importantly, Lord Jaset and House Melantha were stilled allied with the Empire. He could still do his part for his House and perhaps find a way to bring disgrace upon the rival House.

Personality: Zwie tends to be an arrogant aristocrat he clearly believes himself superior to those around him. He has little patients and will often act without thinking. However, he takes his duties to House Calipsa seriously, to often putting them before anything else. In combat he’d rather use his lightfoil than any other weapon, though will use his blaster until opponents get close enough for him to use his lightfoil. Like all Saber Rakes personal honor means a great deal to him.

Objectives: To bring glory and honor to House Calipsa and dishonor to House Melantha.

Flip: The character can throw a target who has grappled them from behind. Difficulty: Moderate. Alliandra: Hmmm, what can I say of Alliandra? She is far more than a compotent pilot, she is very well skilled and I would be willing to fly as her copilot again if she would let me. I have come to more than respect her, I have come to trust her with my very life and my secret. She's the only one I've trusted to keep my datapad safe, I wonder what she'd think if she realized that what is on it could not only cost me my life but bring down House Calipsa as well. Hutt slime, I probably have risked her life by handing her my datapad. I'll have to try to appologize to her for that, Though I should not let her think I am softening, or let anyone else hear me do so.

Dak: He still seems like lower class filth, but I wonder. How did he manage to get the pilot into the ship? We weren't all that close and I don't believe there is a tractor beam in the air lock. Could he in fact be one of House Pelagia's Jedi? Yeah, I know Palpatine and his ilk killed them all, but what if one survived? Be smart if they wen't into hiding, but he's in open rebellion against Palpatine. Perhaps I should keep half an eye on him, Grandfather Warsheld might be intrested to know if one did survive as it could be a secret Pelagia is trying to hide from the rest of the Expanse.

Jelo: Who? I haven't seen much of him since that meeting that sent us here. Wonder if he got scared and took off in the Glimmer as soon as the rest of us were off it and out of both eye and earshot. Or maybe he got killed by the shipjacker.

Judu: Hmmm, that little trick he just pulled with the blast door and the decompression cycle was a little bit impressive. Maybe I can brush up a little on my computer skills from him. And he at least seems to share my feelings about killing. Or at least he thought stunning would have been better as we could have interogated those troopers. So I'll follow his lead.... for now.

Kaedynn: Didn't he loose his fighter? And didn't he hit a captured enemy? The loss of his ship makes me wonder how compotent a pilot he is. Yes, I know the arguement about survival in an asteroid field while being attacked by the enemy, I made it myself to Alliandra. But what if we hadn't been in the field? And that hitting a captured enemy is exactly the kind of thing I know to expect from such uncivilized beings.

Kidjiim: What is it he does exactly. Ah yes, mechanic. He did seem to do well enough in the asteroid field. Beyond that, I am not sure what to think of him.

Kit: Ah, our other fighter pilot. I seem to recall that even though it was damaged he still managed to get his fighter into the base without ejecting and our having to rescue him as well. Does seem to speak to his being a compotent fighter pilot at least. Beyond that, he is another commoner. Isn't he supposed to be our supposed second-in-command?

Nicah: Was she fighting with a bow and arrow just now? How rather.... bizarre. That seems absolutely barbaric, yet she at least seems to be highly proficient with that weapon. But what do I really think of her? Trouble, undoubtedly. Though for whom I am not certain.

Syv: Our medic, and I am thankful she knows what she is doing. Beyond that, I have no real opinion on her.

Ven: I'm supposed to trust him? I expect he's probably a spy for either the Empire or House Melantha. Sure, he was found apparently unconcious after tangling with that Quarren. I wouldn't be at all surprised that they were in league together and he had him knock him out so we could foolishly trust him. And he wanted us to kill those Imperials. Seems logical, but it's also possible he didn't want us interogating them and uncovering secrets the Empire and House Melantha want to keep.

She has deep green eyes under arched dark eyebrows. She is very well trained. Fore those few that see her legs she has a deep scar on her left thigh.

Background: She was raised in a family that hade a very strong focus on money and objects, and she learned quickly that there was a lot of money to be made in smuggling. So she chose to a flight academy and then go out and try to learn how to be the best pilot in the galaxy. She hade some hard years in the flight academy, her teachers did not like that she learned fast and that she many times dared to cross the security limits just to see if she could make it. The other students both liked her because she dared to do what no one else did, but they also feared her because getting in her team meant risks and often punishment. This made her something of a loner and she learned how to take care of herself. After school she went out to learn what the real world had to offer, She spent many hours in the cockpit of different spaceships and other machines, determined to be the best pilot ever. But every pilot needs money and she already new that that could be found in great amounts in smuggling. So she started up small and then worked her way up. She has a few time gotten in some trouble with the justice and are wanted in some parts of the galaxy.

Personality: She is a hard working optimistic woman that sometimes becomes a little of a dare devil. She has over the years become very much paranoid, and it did not help to become wanted for crime by the empire.

Objectives: Is there any money to be made on this, then I am in. Did you say I could mess with the empire at the same time, what are you waiting for.

Kit Darjeel – A good fighter pilot that does not seem to be afraid of doing his job. But it is hard to talk to someone and learn to know one and other when you are in different ships or in the middle of a fight for life. But I think he is ok and I think I would like to have a long talk with him if we are to fly together again, in different ships or together in one.

Nicah Helrayn – She seem a bit distant from the rest of us and I don’t think she is really at ease in a space ship at all. She and Dak have some sort of bound that I can’t really get a grip on. She seems nice and I have a feeling that she starts to care about people she meet really fast. But can she be so primitive as she appears when she takes her bow out. And what did she do to make Dak so upset.

Judu Iolial – I have a small problem to see him as leader. He did not try to learn to know us that much on the trip here and if he should lead would it not be a great idea to know our personality. But he seems fair and I think that he know what he is doing when he sets his mind to it. I hope if he is to continue to lead us that I will learn to trust him.

Dak Eronnian – He seems to be a lone wolf, but has created a strong bond to Nicah, that I don’t fully understand. He also seem to set a high value in self-control and what scares me a bit is that when those kind of people break they often do it hard and ugly. I am not sure that I have the guts to ever trust someone like him.

Syvea “Syv” Nevarene – I tanks all the power in the universe that we have someone that has medic skills with us, I have seen what happens to the ones that don’t value medics high enough. She does not seem to be afraid of much which is a two side coin, she won’t back away from a wounded even if it is hard fight around, but if could also get her hurt or killed and what do we do then?

Kidjim Dasol – Is there something you need more then a medic it is someone how knows how to heals your ship. He worked great under the pressure in the asteroid field and did not take valued time to babble as I asked him to do different things. I could absolutely learn to trust him and I already like working with him.

Zwie Hander – At frist look he is a arrogant, insolent bastard that seem to what nothing more than to offend people. But I am not sure that is really him, he gets nervous far to ease, I think that the arrogance is just un act to keep people away, he is afraid of something or someone, I just hope it is not to bad. I think he could be all right if we work on it.

Kaedynn Xy’Tel – Yes he hade problem in the asteroid field but that could actually happen to anyone flying throw there. He seems to be brave and that can count for much especially when you fly as a fighter pilot. I would like to talk to him, learn to know him if we are to fly together again. But it will be a hard time in the group if he is to fight for the leader position.

Venku 'Ven' Bralor – He is proud, maybe to proud but I kind of like him. But I can see that the others are suspicious of him and sure I can see his odd behaviour and it could be something bad behind it, like the imps, I will wait and see. I wonder why he has all those scars, is he allergic to bacta or is it just lack if money. I can show him a way to make money that I think differ from what he is used to do.

Jelo – He seem to be a really nice and friendly guy and I feel ashamed not to have tried to talk to him more than I have. He has become an outsider inside a group that does not even know each other yet and that is not fair. I really hope that he will open up to us and that he will take a bigger place in the group when we get of this rock. I must talk to him more and make that happen.

Background: Growing up on the planet Merisee was hard for Kaedynn as he had to struggle to get by after losing his parents at the beginning of his adolescence. A humble child under his parents’ care, he turned his back against the galaxy when their untimely death took place. Though he never harbored bitter feelings towards them for leaving him so unexpectedly, he was unable to coexist with his peers. He turned his body into a living altar or shrine in remembrance of his parents. Over time, Kaedynn began inscribing ancient symbolic designs that slowly covered his body; it started small but quickly became an obsession.
He was quiet and introverted, doing only what he had to do every day to survive and fend for himself when no one else would. Though he wasn’t an aggressive person, the streets taught him some things about violence. He was determined not to lose what little he had to petty street thugs nor become one himself. His father had instilled in him some level of honor that remained with him, though it might have been slightly distorted.
It was by chance that one day he met the man that he owed his current circumstances to, though still fighting for his life; he now had a definite purpose. When he was 19 years old, a man by the name of Sagoro Autem, an old servant to the long gone Galactic Republic, took notice of him one night as Kaedynn had fallen victim to an attempted mugging. He was badly hurt but killed his assailant in self defense. Sagoro took him in for the night and fixed him up and provided basic care for a few days until he was able to move again and communicate. Through conversation, he revealed his short but traumatic past to the man who picked him up off the ground that night. In turn, Sagoro revealed to him, his intricate and eventful life as Senate Guard. While Kaedynn had lost his parents, Sagoro had let his duty as a guard pull him away from his family. An almost father-son relationship began to unfold and after hearing of the terrible things the Empire had done in the Galaxy, especially to Sagoro, Kaedynn wished to join the Resistance and asked Sagoro to teach him everything that he knew. Recognizing that same natural sense of honor that he himself had, Sagoro agreed and made him his personal apprentice and agreed to introduce him to the few connections he had left that would get him into Resistance companionship.
Kaedynn, Sagoro and his family left Merisee, their temporary homestead and settled on an outer rim planet where they could be out of the Empire’s grasp. Sagoro had a wealth of knowledge as he was skilled in personal combat from his service in the Guard and also taught Kaedynn to pilot a starship, after all, Autem had been captain of a Star Destroyer at one time. One of the most unique parts of his training was his hand-to-hand combat techniques; the same fighting style the Senate Guard used was taught to him: Hijkata.
With his skills ready to be tested, Kaedynn bid farewell to the Autems and joined the ground assault division of a Resistance group. Quickly proving himself as an able and loyal fighter, his squad was quickly recognized as one of the most professional and proficient at their duties.
Acknowledged for his combat abilities on the ground, he promptly turned heads when his extraction point on one mission was compromised and he was forced to find his own means of getting him and his crew off the planet. Kaedynn was able to successfully liberate and commandeer a small Imperial transport away from the planet’s surface evading surface-to-air fire and once in space, dancing around ship-to-ship cannon fire before safely executing a hyperspace jump to bring his squad home.
Word spread quickly about his heroic escape and his superiors said they were in need of fighter pilots, volunteering him to be their next candidate. Now with an X-wing, he feels equally at home in the cockpit as he was in the foxhole, making him an extremely valuable asset to the Rebellion. He’s been placed with Kit Darjeel to operate as part of a special missions group commanded by Lieutenant Iolian.

Personality: Once an introverted and awkward adolescent, Kaedynn is now an extremely well trained, cool and precise operator. Honor, integrity, loyalty, and determination, were all imbedded into his every thought by his teacher. Not very talkative, he will not boast nor even speak as to who it was who trained him lest the wrong ears be listening. As a soldier, he speaks to give orders, says “yes sir” to receive orders and relies on his actions to say the rest for him.

Dak: Not real sure what to think about him. He knows he has some sort of special power it seems, and acts very strangely. He watches Dak closely.

Nicah: Helped save his life in space which is a plus and good in a fight. Other than that, he fears that she couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. Well, maybe not that dumb but calling starships crates bugs him. He's known some of his own soldiers that were much dumber but he would trust his life to them any day. He does remember that he forgot to thank Nicah for magically pulling him out of space, and makes a note to do that, once theyre away from the fighting.

Alliandra: Very good pilot, so he's impressed. Good in a fight, only one that actually obeyed his retreat order, so that tells him that perhaps they are on the same page.

Jelo: If he could put the jerky away for just a second that would be great.

Kit: Uptight but bright and seems to think along the same lines, he trusts him.

Kidjim: Strange looking little fella but the only interaction he had with him was in the short firefight in the hangar bay where he feels Kidjim proved himself. He knows that Kidjim is just as frustrated with this command situation as he is, it's good not to be alone.

Syv: Soldiers love medics. End of story.

Judu: Realizes that commanding "troops" against an Imperial assault is not his forte, Kaedynn can only hope that next time when in that kind of situation, he will listen to the voice of experience. He doesn't doubt that Judu has great abilities and skills though. After this episode, Kaedynn will have more conclusive opinions on his leadership ability.

Zwie: Still wondering why the heck he is here?? A fool regardless.

Ven: Pompous twit who has a handful of good ideas and a handful of idiotic ideas but he can't tell the difference. He knows if he issues another threat of any kind, Kaedynn will react, forcefully. Everytime Kaedynn sees him or thinks about what he says his blood starts to rush with anger and has to make a conscious effort to calm himself.

Background: Ven doesn't remeber anything before being 8 years old, so he does not know his parents or his real name (or species, though he looks human). He grew up as a slave of Torgada the Hutt and was adopted and trained by a mandalorian mercenary named Kaldor Bralor.
When he was approximately 14, he fought his first bout in Torgada's fighting pits. The next two years, he was fighting at least once a week, sometimes up to four times. At 16, Torgada was attacked by another crime syndicate and killed, as was Kaldor Bralor. Ven managed to escaped and lived the next three years from fighing in the galactic fighting circuit and sometimes bounty-hunting with a female Twi'lek bounty-hunter named Shaanya Hora.
At 19 he lost a fight to a Barabel. His medical bill took all his money, so to get the higher education he wanted and to travel the galaxy, he volunteered for Imperial military service. Ven wanted to join the Navy, but initial testing showed that he had little aptitude for flying but he knew a lot about Small Unit Tactics and close-quarters fighting. He finished basic training as a squad leader and spend for two years in the Outer Rim on pacification duty. There he got a field promotion for bravery and was sent to the Imperial academy on Carida. In the Academy he showed a great aptitude for tactics and close-quarter-combat. After graduation he stayed at the Academy fot half a year as an assistant instructor for tactics and close combat. During that time he felt the need to get back into the field and to travel, so he volunteered for an expedition into the unknown regions led by Moff Draase. On a world named Satoss IV he lost both right hand and right eye in an artillery barrage, but still managed to lead a group of imperial survivors through four months of fighting against the natives before help arrived. After rehabilitation he was offered the possibility to create his own unit from hand-picked soldiers. Ven and his unit specialised in counter-insurgency warfare. After years of successfull missions against pirates, criminals and insurgents, Lt. Colonel Ven Bralor, CO of 355th Special Missions Detachement arrived on Raskin III. The Imperial Governor had an insurgency on his hands and the insurgents were winning. In a stunning six month campaigb the 355th turned the tide, but suffered heavy losses. At one point Ven found out that survivors were sold into slavery and that the unit he led on Satoss IV had been decimated on the orders of General Baru. Hearing and seeing other atrocities convinced him he had to desert. After a meating with the leader of the Rebels, Triss Ghavden, he managed to fake his death and get Triss some secret information about the Planetary Special Police. He has been with the Alliance for six months now, hoping to finally get a mission.

Objectives: To live according to the Six Actions (Resol'Nare): wear armor, speak Mando'a, defend himself and his family, raise children as Mandalorians, help his clan succeed and sustain itself, and when called to arms by the Mandalore, rally to his cause.

Connections with other Characters:

Suskafoo and the Verpines: I really like the guys, especially 'Foo. They're great craftsmen and engineers, though their building style needs some getting used to. 'Foo's a nice guy and ceratinly an interresting person to talk with, especially about philosophy and cultures, a passion we both share. Strangely, the Verps' pacifism does not bother me, indeed I respect it.

Ackbar: I like him. He stands up for what he believes in and he does his best to help the Rebels, though they don't deseve somebody like him, by what I have seen of them so far.

Lt. Pollard: Though he looks like a pirate he's tough. Wouldn't have minded to have somebody like that in my command. Proud and brave, he is ge'verd

So far, Ven has had little opportunity to form a view on the members of Strike Team 3. What there is, is below:

Syv: Very competent medic and very professional. Stays out of a fight to help the wounded. Pleasant, too. One of the few Strike Team members Ven respects and likes so far.

Alliandra: Another on the short "I like you" list. A competent fighter who follows orders and has common sense, something most of the Team lack. Looks like a pilot; if she is, she's certainly going to be a good one. Good looking for sure.

Nicah: Also on the list. Good fighter, with the right spirit. Needs a bit more "Teamgeist" though; might turn into a great operator in the future if she gets her head-strong attitudes under control. Those come with the red hair of course. Another looker.

Judu: The so-called "leader" of the Strike Team. More of a Circus-Ring Master though. Not a lot of tactical sense and even worse leadership skills.
Looks like he's good at computer and security stuff, though; might be a good leader in civillian sits but in combat....nah. Who ever placed him in command of a Strike Team needs their heads checked.

Kit: The 2iC. He at least tries to lead; if he leads as good as he flies, he'd better walk (just look at the wreckage in the docking bay, will you?). Some tactical and common sense, but it could be better. He's so stiff, he certainly has a broomhandle up his shebs.

Kidjim: Interresting character. Didn't know there's any Ewoks out here. Some kind of tech.

Kaedynn: All balls, no brains. The worst of the lot. Can't fly, mustn't command. Can shoot. Well, there's at least one thing he is good at.

Dak: Not a lot better than the one before. Less balls, a bit more brains. Looks at a blaster like it will bite him, runs around in robes and starts to meditate in the middle of a fight. Where does the "Rabbleion" get these guys?

Jelo: Has a good sense of humor, is not afraid to ask questions and likes to learn. Yes, he stuffs himself all the time, but that's ok. He's done pretty well in combat so far. Like him.

Zwie: Looks like an arrogant fop. He had the decency to get shot and be out of the way thus. I'm interrested in what he might be good for...or not

Background: Jelo grew up on Orto in an average middle class Ortolan family. He went to a local school where he was captain of his school’s smashball team. It seemed to him that he was generally popular and well liked and he generally liked his classmates. He graduated with good, if not brilliant marks, and left home at age seven, as all Ortolans do. He got a job at the carbon quarry and became a member of the small but dedicated Orto Home Guard. He was a valued employee -- winning occasional "Employee of the Month Awards"; due to his work ethic and unusual strength. He fell in love with his foreman’s daughter, and the two were engaged to be married.

Then the Imperials attacked Orto. Their white-armored troops and looming ships quickly and soundly defeated the Ortolan's Home Guard. Jelo escaped across the icy tundra with the few survivors. Orto was quarantined, and many Ortolans were exported to be enslaved.

The resistance movement, led by Jelo, made guerrilla attacks against the Imperial outposts on the planet, and roused others to their cause. About five months after the initial occupation of his planet, Jelo was summoned by one of the Resistance’s informants within the city.

There, Jelo met the offworlder, a human. The human explained that he was part of a resistance movement, as well, only one that hoped to free the entire galaxy from the Emperor’s grip. He had heard of Jelo and his resistance, and asked Jelo to come and join the Rebel Alliance. They would give him training, the human promised, and he would help liberate Orto and all the other planets that the Empire had enslaved. Jelo agreed, and left in the human’s ship, transferring command of the Ortolan resistance to his second. Now he is a member of the Alliance fighting the same war on a galactic scale.
