Hello

In my campaign the players are supposed to start out on a planet with medieval technology. The power of the planet is divided among ten houses but a couple of years ago House Kreytos suddenly got hold of fantastic technology that was unheard of.

They started using this new technology to bring the other houses down but one house joined House Kreytos. That was House Tanasiss and its this house the players belong to. They joined the evil side to be able to help the other houses and secretely start a resistance on the planet.

My question is this. It is of course the Empire thats distributing the technology to be able to control the planet and in time the whole system. Or is it a moff or even a grand moff who is acting on his own? Or maybe a strong criminal lord? Hmmm I dont know but what do you think and what kind of ships would they have access to?

There has to be ships, some atleast, that have hyperdrive so they can travel insystem.

Any input is welcome.

even older technology would be wonderous to these people so I recommend a poorly equipped Imperial outpost answering to a shadowy figure. This figure could be non imperial (the game could even be well after the fall of the empire) who just happened on some old discarded equipment.

Old Blasters and Clone Armor are fantastic technology to a Pre-space flight planet.

The Empire would not neccessarily provide munitions to a possible slave population. But pirates and smugglers would for things like gold, gems, and rare art/artifacts. And then they have to make continued visits to sell power packs to the natives. The fun part is when the Empire comes and "liberates" their world of the pirate menance. Then the fun begins with the subjugation.

I am also a bit uncertain about when tihis is happenning. Between the movies 4,5,6 or after the movies... I am leaning towards after the movies. But its gonna take awhile before the characters get out in the universe. Mostly insystem at first..

What do you think?

I`ve picked out a list of tecnology now, i will be posting it soon

E-Wings are HIGHLY advanced fighters. I don't think it's necessary to push it so far to impress these primitives.

Exactly what I was thinking too...

Z-95s are considered practically antiques when EPI 4 happens, so they'd be a good choice for "Fantastic Tech" for technically-challenged people... Razz

Why go so high tech? "We call them Zebras." Zebra starfighters are crap to most and dirt cheap. But these primitive screwheads see them as a gift from their god(s).

I've always wanted to know what a Zebra starfighter looks like.

The person supplying munitions could be a local Imperial Moff or Governor hoping to build a private army to augment his forces provided by the Empire. Many Mid-Rim and Outer Rim territories are under manned.

Yeah, I had thought about suggesting the Zebra as well. They are the "cream of the crap"
