We had an awsome Verpine slicer in our group! He planted bombs in all of our weapons, mainly so that if they get taken from us, they would do 10D damage to our enimies, but also that he could threaten us when we got pissed off at him or didn't do what he said (they could even be used as grenades!). In the end, he had 17D Hacking, 10D demolitions, and an army of captured droids that would do his bidding, with modified blaster rifles for 6D+2 damage! He may have been a jerk, but he was the most awsome jerk ever!

Hey Volar, for the sake of everyone else here, I think something should be said of my asteriod miner.

Best character ever, boy have I had some fun with him. He just keeps picking up odd skills now, and with the exception of Jedi with Radiation issues he's now the longest living character in the group. But even after such a long time as my character, he still has completed his short-term objective. He still wants ot see an inner world. Oh well, at least I'm not mowing down my own party with some "primitive' fire arms.

I think my most clever character has to be Nitch, the Bimm saboteur.
He started out as simply a small, furry nut-job, obsessed with explosives, who carries a dozen or so thermal detonators, grenades and mines hanging inside his overcoat. But as I played him, he became more and more interesting. He's not plain crazy, but he has a kind of gollum-thing going, not really schizo, but he can change his mind and demeanor very quickly.
He's a lot of fun to play and oftenm ends up doing something silly or rather dangerous for the rest of the group, though he's not totally inconsequential.
In our last adventure he tried to sabotage my other character's podrace right before a race. I've never been so happy to roll a critical failure on a Sneak test, so my other character caught him in the act and stopped him.

The only character I played long enough to gain any real attachment to was an imperial captain named Kiff who also happened to be a squib.

Yup, that's right. The little nutso space jawas that look like blue squirrels and have an obsession with tractor beam technology.

In a post-Endor game, he started out in charge of a backwater in-system patrol craft with a crew of washouts and rejects... they included an ex-stormtrooper force user who thought he was commando material, a space pirate who'd gotten his brain illegally implanted into a defel body (!), and a crazed TIE-Bomber pilot who adamantly claimed that he was the real Baron Soontir Fel. (actually, unknown to any of us, he was just a clone who'd gone loony from the cloning process and thought he was the original Soontir Fel)

We ended up having to strike against an outer-rim system to secure vital manufacturing bases and new recruits for the Empire... but mainly for the manufacturing centers and advanced shield technology this world's people had to offer.

Unfortunately it had nearly impenetrable planetary shields, shielded fighters, and some other crazy stuff like that. I was basically the advanced scout ship sent in to assess things and drop off a shuttle carrying the Hell's Hammers who would breach the planetary defenses and bring down the shields so that the Imperial Fleet could take the planet.

The first part of the operation went smoothly, even with some crazy technical problems on my old boat (which was jury-rigged to house a hyper-drive and an external docking clamp for the stormtrooper transport and the real Baron Soontir Fel's TIE-Bomber. Not to mention the extremely boosted tractor beam emplacements I'd been setting up and tweaking in my spare time.) I basically rode the tail of a comet that was just arriving in-system to try to cloak our signature and dropped off the transport for insertion with the real Baron Soontir Fel flying escort.

The Force sensitive went in with Hell's Hammers and there was a pitched battle in the city as they fought street-to-street and the real Baron Soontir Fel ended up single-handedly diverting and destroying most of their defensive space fleet. I was desperately trying to shake a number of assault gunboats that had tracked where the dropship had come from and were attacking my own patrol boat.

When I found out that the ray shields on the gunboats were no match for my pathetic blasters, I got the idea to use my tractor beam implacements to hurl nearby asteroids into them as I retreated further into the field. This worked perfectly, though I'd taken extensive damage.

That's when the planet-sized droid-intelligence "thing" appeared. I mean, no flicker of pseudomotion or anything. Just appeared out of nowhere.

And started firing attack beams at the remaining starfleet chasing the real Baron Soontir Fel even as the planetary defense shields dropped.

These beams turned out to be ion blasts of unbelievable sophistication and magnitude. Cruisers were disabled left and right and then they started turning on the non-ionized vessels. Anything that went after the planetoid was turned around as their electronics systems were countermanded by the droid intelligence.

So I did the only thing I could think of.

I overloaded my tractor beam emplacements, cutting down everything except minimal life support, and threw the comet at it.

By the time the Imperial fleet arrived, I'd not only destroyed the alien threat, but I'd entirely subjugated the entire system with one modified system patrol craft by threatening to bombard their unshielded planet with asteroids should they resist.

Imperial Command had no choice but to promote Kiff and approve the brevet recommendations he'd pushed forward for his crew of lunatics.

Yeah, after I was promoted, I ended up with a corvette.

The first thing I did was rip out half the guns and start installing tractor beam emplacements. Very Happy

The most clever character I ever saw played was a Shape shifter that had to collect DNA samples of subjects to be able to take their shape. He would go around in important circles ( Luke, Bel Iblis, ....) and just offer his hand in a shake most didn't even think about a hand shake. Then boom, he could roll to become them. One adventure we landed on LV426! We barely escaped but not before shape shifter was scratched. We didn't think much of this since everyone was wounded. But much later on in the campaign, when he was captured by Imperials and put into back of hover vechicle. We knew he was up to something when he asked the guard, " Do you want to see something really scarey?" and shifted into Alien! : Exclamation
