Does anyone have any converted stats for the Diathim? Their supposed to appear in WotC's Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds. I've check Gry's Alien Stats PDF that I've got (don't know if he's done a remake on that one as it's the one he originally posted that I've got) and their not listed in there. Been looking at various avian species on Wookieepedia and I'd kinda like to see some stats for the Diathim. If no one has converted stats, could you then post the D20 stats and maybe I can see if I can't use something to convert them.

It's on the Creatures Stats book, since it's not all that sentient.

Thanks Gry. Remind me to send a nastygram to someone. Read they were supposed to be a sentient species (or nearly so) so naturally I looked in the wrong place.

Ok, after part two of tonights Clone Wars episodes, maybe it's time to rethink the Diathim's sentience. That Angel certainly wasn't a creature and may well have been more than semi-sentience.

Oh yeah, The Clone Wars clearly depicted the Diathim as fully sentient. Time for a little rewrite.

Ok, here's my adaptation of the previous stats. Tough it's hard to say that those stats created by Wizards reflect the creature presented in TCW. For one, Wizards states that Diathim can't speak.... Well, until we get a new set of stats, this is what I have:

Diathim (Angel)
Home Planet: Millius Prime (moon of Iego)
Attribute Dice: 13D
DEXTERITY 3D/5D+1
KNOWLEDGE 2D+1/4D
MECHANICAL 1D/2D
PERCEPTION 2D+2/5D
STRENGTH 1D+1/4D+1
TECHNICAL 1D/2D
Special Abilities:

Blindsight: Diathims have powerful nonvisual senses and don’t suffer any of the penalties for poor lighting conditions.
Energy Pulse: Once every 3 rounds, a diathim can emit a white burst of energy from its chest that deals 4D energy damage. The energy pulse’s range is 3-75/200/500 and uses a Dexterity skill.
Vaccum Creature: Diathims can survive in the vacuum of space.
Force Sensitive: All diathim are Force sensitive, usually posessing the affect mind and drain energy powers.
Move: 22 (flying), 8 (walking)
Size: 2-3 meters

Yeah, you're right. Those stats were fine for a creature, but as a playable species they are quite broken.

Anybody would like to take a stab at it?

Well, I've been looking through your Alien stats PDF for an alien who has a special weapon that isn't claws or teeth or anything like that and came across the Orgon which produces a poison that initially does 6D damage on the first turn it's on the victim and then 4D for every turn it's on after that. So what if the energy beam does 4D damage?

It could always be treated as a range, starting at 4D, but can be increased up to 7D through CP expenditure, maybe at 2x the number before the D.

what do you use to raise stats then, besides:
1x skill
1/2x specialization
2x force and advanced
10x Attribute

Oh sorry i thought you were refering to a house rule i know of and not to the advancment of stats.

That being said i don't think that the beam should be advanced through cp but rather you might try marrying it to their drain energy force power in some way.
