My recently run game began on an asteroid base of a pirate gang.
Previously, the PCs, who were a crew of a yacht doubling as a freighter, tracked a band of pirates who was harassing a town they were sending cargo to. However, just before the previous session ended, it was revealed that the pirate leader was the older brother of the captain of the players' group, and he wanted the PC to join his gang.
The next session began with a dinner where the pirate leader and his senior staff ate with the PCs. When it was over, the pirate leader (the PC's brother) stood up. He walked over to his brother (who himself was running on the Pirate template), and said to him, "You're no stranger to piracy. You know the rules and so do I. A full commitment's what I'm thinking of." He put his hand on the PC's shoulder, gripping it hard and looking into his eyes, and continued, "I wouldn't offer this to just.. any other guy."
Then in real life, everyone around the table went "NOOO!!! ARRGH!", and people were standing up and jokingly trying to leave the table.
Yes, true believers.
I, the GM, rickrolled the players during a Star Wars RPG session. 
Edit: typo "when" --> "went"

I thought that was kind of a cool story concept though... I would have liked it!
