One of my co-workers wants to get into RPGs, so of course I tell him I will run the greatest RPG ever created - the D6 Star Wars rules.

Problem - so far only one player locally who's schedule meshes with ours. Any ideas for beginning a solo campaign?

I guess the first questions would be what time period and what sort of campaign would you and your buddies prefer.

Well, there are solo adventures in the 2nd Edition R&E corebook and the Tales of the Jedi Companion you could adapt into solo PC starter adventures. Their both designed for you to play alone, but it shouldn't take much to redesign them to be a starting point of a longer adventure.

As much as I love the Rebellion era, I am actually leaning towards a Legacy era campaign.

One of the easiest things i have seen done for a solo pc game, is to make him a courier. Have him with a work place which assigns his ship (and pilot), all he has to do is go from place x to y... but he is the one doing the negotiating, running from corporate troubleshooters/hutts who may want what he has.

Then you have solo bounty hunters..

Starfighter pilot. You assign the missions, give him a chance to get used to the game, when he's comfortable with the system, restart or move forward.

Also, if you need stats for Legacy era, check out the Pit's own conversion from the Saga Edition sourcebook at Cheshire's 4shared space. You can find it under "Saga to D6 Conversion".
