Have you guys never played the published adventure "Starfall"? It's set inside a VSD and comes with a decent map of its insides.

You're a saint and a scholar (of Star Wars D6 adventures). I thought that there was an adventure set on an ISD, but I ended up convincing myself that I'd just imagined it.

Hmmm, this seems like an excellent idea for introducing the Tyranids...

What about a camouflaged Lictor hiding among the TIE fighter racks in the hangar bay.... Twisted Evil

Actually, a derelict star destroyer would be the perfect place for your Tyranid centipede concept.

Yes, of course.. I just loove Lictors too..

Hiding among the racks and using its flesh hooks to lift people up into the darkness and waiting rending claws...

Did you ever read Black Library's Warriors of Ultramar by Graham McNeill? Spacemarines vs. Tyranids, with some nice Lictor action mixed in.

I took a look at the deck plans from Starfall. It left something to be desired... They really only give you detailed layout of the bridge and hanger bay. The detention block is kinda meh, and the power core just looks like some sort of design, not really like a floor plan.

Now that I think about it I think I remember the Death Star Companion stating that the Death Star was build around Imperial standard designs and that diagrams in the book would be pretty standard for capital ships.

Also..
I would have a Necron Tomb lord awake from the planet below instead of Tyranids on the ship Smile

Necrons would be pretty easy to simulate with existing droid rules whereas tyrinids might be tricky.

Yes, Starfall map for overview and the Death Star maps for detail is a perfect combination. I will run a modified Starfall later so Im already prepared..(No Tyranids then though..).

I guess I should mention that the battles that I run are more RP than tactics, so having overly detailed maps isn't big on my priority list. Still, I plan to have maps drawn up for all the major locations.

The reason that I'm going with the Force Wraith instead of some "monster of the week" is that I thing that The Exorcist is a hell of a scary movie. A small, fast-moving child run along the walls is something that holds more fear for me, personally, than some large insectoid beast.

I've always liked the idea of the Force Wraith, but have always wanted to present it as more of a challenge than the bread and butter version. So, I'm making some changes to it to make it a little more deadly.

Bah! Tyranids are much more than a 'insectoid beast'... Laughing
Even if they are insectoid to some degree, its the locustlike chilling alien-ess of them that makes them so attractive... Add the fact that you can add whatever bioengineered creature/equipment/weapon to torment the characters and its endless fun! 'Nids possess people too... Laughing

If Id go with the 'force' idea I think I would use a possessive sith spirit or something. If Id use the force wraith concept I would probably make them less powerful but in greater numbers. Again, i bit of 'body snatchers' where wraiths take over the crew and multiplies...again the locust swarm that must be stopped.

I would be more scared of a small, fast-moving dianoga creeping upside down on the cieling...

Sounds vaguely like a xenomorph facehugger, or a Half-Life headcrab.
