It was my understanding that a character could suffer two hits of wound level damage before hitting incapacitated. Single damage table is

0-3 Stunned
4-8 Wounded
9-12 Incapacitated
13-15 Mortally Wounded
16+ Killed

The wounded twice just denotes that the character has suffered two wounds.

Slightly more than wounded?

LMAO. I'm just saying that we have Stunned, Wounded, Incapacitated, Mortally Wounded and Killed. These are all rather ominous sounding in their own way. And then we have Wounded Twice. It just fails on so many levels...
Well, lets try some other words...
How about Mangled? Battered? Mauled or Mutilated? Ruptured?
It's tough to find a word that fits nicely between wounded and incapacitated.

I think Gravely or Badly Wounded may be the closest.

Well, my understanding of it is that each hit is calculated separately, therefore, a character that gets hit and suffers a wound could get hit again and suffer a stun. And then he'd be wounded and stunned at the same time. If he gets wounded again, he becomes wounded twice, and stunned. If he gets "wounded" a third time, the wounds all "roll over" and add up to incapacitated.

Yeah, that's how it works, it's just not an elegant name. How many movies have you seen where people yell "Help! I'm wounded twice!"?

Well it happens in real life.

This Marine said it, "They ought to take that into account, considering that I've already been wounded twice".

And then there is this guy, and this guy, and this gal. Wink

But if you don't find real life convincing we could go to something more poetic like "a little wounded."

“I'm a little wounded but I'm not slain; I will lay me down for to bleed awhile, Then I'll rise and fight with you again”
