I've actually got my sights set on getting some more of the books from FFG's Star Wars line, and I haven't thought about getting Rebel Assault, just because that's how the finances work out.
Though, I could be convinced to re-prioritize if there are some really good reviews on the Pit. I'd be interested to hear your take on it. _________________ __________________________________

Yeah, it may be a cool game but if I buy FFG stuff, I'm much more inclined to spend my money on the RPG material. In fact, I'm a little behind on that and I'll be asking for some Age of Rebellion books for Christmas. _________________ *

I'm curious about it. What's the added value of true FFG rpg over WEG D6 do you imagine? |

You must have missed this 14 page thread. The above link goes strait to the December 2012 posts when the first FFG beginner game was released. What does the FFG game have over the WEG D6 game? IMO, almost nothing. The artwork of the entire FFG line is overall the best of the three SW RPGs, so I'll give it that. _________________ *

I appreciate you posting this buying option. That's a good base price. But after you add shipping (at least to my home) it almost exactly equal to Amazon.

I don't know if I mentioned this over on that other thread or not (and I'm not feeling like looking through 14 pages), but this is absolutely a fact. There is some absolutely breathtaking art for the FFG SW stuff! _________________ Currently running Villains & Vigilantes (campaign now 24 years old), d6 Star Wars, The One Ring, and occasionally Marvel Heroic Roleplaying |

I did indeed miss it. I've been away for a bit - mostly playing FFG's X-Wing game.
Regarding roleplaying, I'm not a big fan of what they did with/to Warhammer, and it clearly did not pay off for them, given that they discontinued the line. Of course, I'm also an old grognard when it comes to my Warhammer. I'm wondering if I should be that way with Star Wars as well. I trust that your opinion is sound, but I'll go peruse that thread, regardless. |

I generally don't buy FFG boardgames because I've often found them to be too complex, and filled excessively with tokens, cards, bits, and bobs. But, I'd sure like some of those minis in IA, if they offered them separately. |

After having learned from experience, we've put notes into a couple of our FFG games. It reads, "Do not begin this game after 6:00 PM." There was an instance where someone nearly missed the last trains, and they run weekends until 2:00 A.M. in Boston. _________________ __________________________________

The WotC minis and the WEG minis were pretty close to the same. I've seen reports that the FFG minis were "similar scale" to the WotC ones. However, I have yet to see a side-by-side comparison. _________________ __________________________________

Hummm.....Interesting, Interesting. I've never played the WEG minis system may try it, and if these minis be in scale use em with it. _________________ The Empire: We'z Ownz ALL yer'z Star Destoyerz!!! |
