Reading the raw rules for this power confused me some.
Reading with the astrogation skill.
The novels seem to show that you can navigate through an unknown area, and the wording in the power description doesn't contradict that. But the difficulty for the power is based off of the astrogation difficulty.
Also how could I use this power to reduce base time? |

From my reading of both powers, you take what you think is the route's diff, and if that is reached on the sense (or control roll) for the power, it makes it a lot easier to plot/input into your Nav comp. So depending on what rule you use for shaving off time, depends whether it would make it harder or not.

Most likely, in the Very difficult to Heroic area imo.

| Astrogation skill lists up to a day to use. The power only 1 standard action? I see no notes otherwise, and default time for power use is an action. |
