Ok do some of the Aliens need to have their dice ranges revisited? I ask after watching ep's 1-6 (Both) Clone Wars and Rebels in the past week.

simple case study the Tw'lek, for a race who produces Dancers and Warriors of renown and some repute respectively, their game stats have them with less potential than most other races less famed for their Agility, Motor Reflexes and Hand/Eye Coordination (reflected by the 3D Dex stat cap in D6) they have a number of capable Pilots shown on screen (reflecting a Mech grater than a 2D+1 cap) and in a star fairing society apear to have no barriers to acquiring and practicing technological skills.

perhaps it's time for the Tw'lek to join the ranks of the 12D races and have their stat caps raised wile they are at it.

there are other races that need to be revisited, so what do folks think should be the most urgent ones?

I tend to agree on Twi'leks. Perhaps a special rule is in order for the leks increasing the character's sense of balance and agility, as well?

After watching Rebels I tend to agree that twi'leks need to be revisited.

I don't disagree on the max, but 3D+1 is a bit too high for an average so definitely way too high for a min. Even making them a 12D species, a 3D+1 minimum in any attribute would pull too much away from the other attributes, especially for 12D characters. The attribute ranges of the species have to account for virtually all NPCs in the galaxy, not just PCs of that race.

Sometimes I wonder whether wookies are too strong. The weakest of all woomies is stronger than any human could ever hope to be.

I would have given Tw'leks a more Human stat range with an advantage in Perception and a moderate deficit in Str, Mech & Tech when I made them as 11D aliens given ep 4-6 as a reference and even later using ep's 1-3.

given Clone Wars & Rebels, str gos in to parity with Humans for Str, and only a slight Tech & Mech deficit keeping their Per advantage when I updated them to 12D.

build a group of Tw'leks as NPC's and you get some range in stats, but build them as PC's and they are remarkably uniform in stats with 17 dice to fit in to a 20D cap

OK.. How's about 2d+2 as a min.

Verpine.. Heck any race that gets 2d for 1d into starting skills, or a 2d straight skill boost.

I tend to think that twi'leks would have a Perception bonus and a Strength penalty relative to humans. Not sure max should be as high as 5D for Per... maybe 4D+2...?

Str capped at 3D+1...?

Considering Twi'lek culture is behind the curve technologically, I'd think their low attributes would be Knowledge and/or Technical.

I suppose that makes sense.

FWIW, According to d20, twi'leks have a strong immune system and have good social skills but lack mental fortitude.

So high Strength and Perception, but low Knowledge (Willpower).

EDIT: Or at least average Strength.

Twi'lek
Dex 2d+2/4d+2
Know 1d+2/3d+2
Mech 2d/4d
Str 2d+1/4d+1
Per 2d/4d
Tech 1d+2/3d+2

I'd go with Strength 2D/4D and Perception 2D+1/4D+1
