What scale are the structural insides of ships and buildings? Character? Speeder? Same as outside?

Seriously, to me it all depends on the situation. Just what exactly are the characters interacting with inside of the ship. Than I assign scale to it.

A building, i would have to say, probably Capital scale.
Ship, one scale below the outside/size. It's not armor plated on the inside, controls and electronics everywhere.

Depends on what you're dealing with.

If it's a main support beam for, say, a building or a primary rib on a Capital Ship, they'd be the same stats as the building on a whole. Capital Scale.

If it's a re-enforced item, say, a load-bearing wall of some sort, then either a reduced D of hull, or Starfighter scale.

If something less, like a Blast Door, then Walker scale.

Speeder Scale for good quality materials for the rest. (Good doors, decent internal walls, ect.).

And Character scale for the cheap stuff. (Cheap doors and walls, for instance.).

In other words. Yes.

Seriously, the answer is yes. Capital ships have capital ship scale hulls and bulkheads. Transports have transport scale hulls and bulkheads. Fighters/Walkers/whatever have internal structures of the same scale as the vehicle. A well built modern building should probably be walker scale. A fortified structure should, reasonably be capital scale.

Planetary Scale can withstand aproximately 100,000,000 MDC, or 100 IDC (Infinite Damage Capacity)...

I'd say the scale of the innards of any vehicle or ship would depend upon which component came into question. It is reasonable to assume that reinforce blast doors are at least Starfighter scale, but the captains chair and the computer terminals should probably be character scale. Most minor doors will probably be character scale, while hatches and heavier doors may be walker, starfighter, or even capital scale. Turbolaser turrets should be Starfighter scale (with reasonably high die codes for hull), while the conning tower of a Star Destroyer should be Capital scale. It is really a more complex question than I feel I can answer easily. Just use your best instinct when assigning damage scales to interior components, and ask yourself "Is it reasonable?"

I agree most buildings should be around Walker scale to Capital Scale. Here's a rough guideline:
Shed, Shack, Portlet, tent ---- Character Scale
Small House, barn, Garage---- Speeder Scale
Brownstone flat, brick 5 story, mall ---- Walker Scale
Skyscraper, Office Building, Iron Bridge, Parking Deck ---- Capital Scale
Orbital Colony, Ringworld, Dyson Sphere, Big Asteroids ---- Death Star Scale

Keep in mind that varrying the dice in a given categories body will allow you to reflect structures of a vast variety. For example, I say Orbiting colonies and shipyards should be Death Star scale, that is not to say the have the same dice as the Death Star. Such structures, if military or reinforced, should be fairly resistant to Capital damage, and should have maybe 1D - 2D Body at that scale. A Dyson sphere, on the other hand, encapsulates an entire star, and the Death Star scale does not do it justice, maybe 50+ dice? These are just guidelines from all the various RPGs I have played over the years, boiled down to D6.

But inside of a ship would be weaker. More exposed to weapon damage.

Also, a concussion grenade on the inside of a ship would breach the hull would it not? Big explosion inside an enclosed space.

I think it would not. The metal is equally strong from both sides. A ship armoured to resist anti-ship weapons is not going to notice anti-personnel weapons. As a guess, I think a concussion grenade detonated inside the ship could do no more than break gauges. Now the people, that's another story. Don't hesitate to add one die to the damage to represent the confined concussion.

Another way to look at it is this: Could you sink a sailboat with a grenade? Obviously, no.
