Also the folding stock on the E-11 and optional scope give it superior versatility. It just gives the look of someone who means business.

Ahhh, now I understand how people prefer coolness over usefulness or vice versa. I, personally would choose a cooler weapon.... some classic dual blaster pistols. Or maybe a blaster rifle with a bayonet at the end! Haha!!

I'm an alien Jedi I made up (based on Star Craft, Protoss). I get to use modern-age weapons, like slugthrower pistols and submachine guns... not the best damage but good enough Smile

For those of us who prefer coolness over function, there are the rules for modifying weapons. That way one can have the best of both worlds...

Personally I like the bi-polar blaster carbine. It has a bipod and does a good amount of damage. The only drawback is that it is an ammo pig.

If In-Game: The Heavy Blaster pistol. You lose the annoying fire rate and it gives damage like a Blaster Rifle. It cheap too! (Cheaper then a Rifle and Carbine, anyways).

Good call, Skaff Wink

that's initially why I chose the ESPO briot gun...I loved it when I read about it in the novel Han Solo at Star's End. After I chose it and looked it up, it was then that I was stunned at how muy excellante the stats are!!!

Akari used a simple standard blaster pistol till some time ago where she was recently handed a "Thunderer", pretty much the heaviest heavy blaster pistol imaginable with damage superior to that of a light repeating blaster. She mostly uses that twohanded like a carbine... Confused

I like the DL-44 m'self.

Ooh ooh ooh...and carbines.

All the power of a rifle, most of the range, less of the cost...gotta love it.

But slugthrowers can be fun too...especially when nobody's expecting them.

Hey! Where's the medium repeater in that poll? Smile

For myself, I'll have to go with the tried and true E-11. Light, compact, great range, good damage, and readily available from any fallen Stormtrooper.

Great point on the slugthrowers. It's all fun and games until somebody gives the smuggler an Uzi. Laughing

Ok, still kinda partial to the super battle droid's built in blaster, but now I've got to add the DC-17m Interchangable Weapon System. Here I'm playing as Kabakh, whose been modified to carry an SBD's blaster, which I like for the popup feature and because unless he get's his arm blown off he doesn't loose his blaster in combat by accidentally dropping it. In another of Jamfke's PbP's I'm playing Trapper who uses the DC, which is great because right now it's three weapons in one. And if he ever discovers a PEP attachment, Trapper will probably snatch that up as well.

Make that SILENCED slugthrowers... Wink

I also agree with Hellcat. That DC-17 he's been toting has come in REAL handy-like. It's a great system.

Oota [Translated from Rodian]: "This is a BlasTech T-6 Thunderer Heavy Blaster Pistol, the most powerful hand blaster in the Universe. Now, you have to ask yourself, did he fire five shots, or six... Seeing as this has a clip of 25, you have to ask yourself, 'Do I feel like dying today?', well, do ya?"
