I'd rather stick to the Quickdraw rules in Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook...

Yes. I let the Jedi add or subtract Control to the damage for free (like First Edition.)

I'd never allow that in my game, personally. (I'm assuming "standard human" means non-Jedi.)
