I don't see why Con wouldn't work on a droid, but attempting to Con into doing something that is "against its programming" should be extremely difficult.

Two things from WEG material. There is concept art on page 50 of the Star Wars Source Book 2nd Ed, of a third-degree spaceport control droid. On page 45 of the Dark Empire Source Book there is a character named Mako Spince has a Knowledge skill: traffic control procedures.

Tactics for a combat flight controller, certainly, but for a civilian air traffic controller, not so much. IMO, a better approach would be to treat it like a Coordination, so that on a successful Command roll, the ship pilot receives an appropriate coordination bonus. |
Well, the droid is a Manumitted Being that has been upgraded and is working for the Rebel Alliance as a combat flight controller now.
Previously, she was a civilian flight controller before she was able to escape.
Love the base model, now to upgrade the individual character, that sort of thing. |

Most of them were Capital Ship Tactical Experts, she has specialized in Starfighters and is barely able to run a Capital Ship Battle in comparison.
But, thank you for that. It might be a touch overpowering. We'll see. |
