I had a player who wanted to use the big double barrel blaster that Tobias Beckett uses in Solo, so I cooked up some stats.

Model: BlasTech RSKF-44 Dual Heavy Blaster
Type: Dual Heavy Blaster Pistol
Scale: Character
Skill: Blaster: Heavy Blaster Pistol
Ammo: 20
Cost: 1,000, 80 (power pack)
Availability: 4, R or X
Range: 5-15/30/60
Damage: 5D (single shot), 6D (simultaneous bolts)

The stats are based off of the Bi-Polar Blaster Carbine.

Nice. But I would add greater range.

Check this scene in Train Heist

In this scene there are 6 containers between them (12.8 meters each). Technically, this is out of the range for this gun.

Unless you have some house rules to shoot beyond the max range.

On the scene where the distance is clear (1:39), there are only two crates between the shooter and the targets. Figure the half a crate on on either end makes a distance of 3 crates. So you're looking at around 40m engagements. And the shooter doesn't seem to be very effective, even if they are farther apart earlier. It could be interpreted that he is shooting farther than the weapon is capable of actually doing any harm.

As for the stats, I would love to see a few variants on this pistol.

Taking advantage of the double barrel design opens up a lot of possibilities.

For example, one barrel could be designed to increase the max range and the other could use more power to increase damage. So one barrel could shoot 6D on its own but at the cost of 4 rounds of ammo, and the other could have the range increased to, say, 5-30/50/100. If fired together, you expend 5 rounds of ammo and get 6D+2 damage out to 60m. (Just a thought).

This looks like That Gun from Fallout. I approve.

I made these stats according to RAW, where Heavy Blaster Pistols have high damage but short effective ranges.

In my games, Blaster rifles, carbines, and Heavy Pistols have their range brackets doubled, while pistols and hold-outs get an extra 50% range increase.

So, in my home games, this blaster could shoot out to 120m.

I had no idea that Beckett's blaster had two barrels. That just makes it even more awesome.
