My son is going to GM a one-shot set on an Imperial Station based on Death Troopers. Me, my daughter, my son's friend, and the friend's brother will be the players. I am playing a dark Jedi who is hiding the fact I'm evil and the others are playing military types to help ensure their survival (we know that it's zombies).

I am to be the 'plot twist'. I don't want anyone leaving the station as they would reveal the horrific acts on the station. So if the zombies don't kill the PCs, I will help to ensure their demise, either directly or indirectly.

The problems:
1) the communication between my son and I
2) keeping my actions secret from the other players

We are going to text and pass notes to help with #1. As for #2, we may need to have folks leave the room for a few minutes.

Do you guys have any ideas on how to do either of these more easily/more effectively? I appreciate any input.

Work some stuff out ahead of time, like code words..
IE he says "i am gonna Fong XYZ" means "I will use force choke on PC X.
Also pass notes to Everyone, not just your son, that way other folks don't get suspicious...

If it were me, I'd make a lot of trips to the bathroom (I take blood pressure meds that make it something of a necessity). Do your clandestine communications with your son via text while you're "taking care of business."

He made it a point to encourage everyone to text or message; it’s been working like a charm. No one suspects a thing, and I’ve killed every NPC we’ve come across.... Surprised

Tangent: Imagine running another horror game. Stormtroopers, garrisoned on a planet. Suddenly, people start dying. Caught in gruesome traps. Armor cracked by repeated blows. Static cut-outs on radio messages, followed by finding your buddies partially eaten. No one ever sees the killers.

Until the final assault. Until the end comes... with a cry of YUB NUB!
