Hi, thought I would share some organisations from my current campaign that may be of use to others in their campaigns. The first one is a conversion from FFG:

 The Veiled Sorority
Type: Pirate Group
Headquarters: Unknown
Leadership: The Pirate Queen with a council of captains & advisors
Principal Activities: Piracy
Known Affiliations: Unknown
Known Adversaries: The Zann Consortium
Area of Operations: The Outer Rim territories
Size: Estimated 2,000+
Violence Index: 90
Key Personnel: Noira, Pirate Queen; Revah, Decoy Pirate Queen; Ryale Wei, Majordomo
Key Locations: Secret palace beneath Worlport on Ord Mantell. Secret base on Dalshinna’r in the Mayagil Sector
Addendum: The Veiled Sorority is a secretive pirate organisation that was formed thirty years before the Battle of Yavin. Active solely in the Outer Rim and created by a mysterious human female known only as the Pirate Queen, the Veiled Sorority was established to serve as a profitable, and largely anonymous, criminal endeavour. The Queen leads the Sorority and is assisted by a council of captains and advisors, all of which are female. While the Queen’s captains are well known by their crews, the Queen has always kept her identity a secret by wearing an elaborate mask. Though non-females of any species are allowed to join the Sorority, they can never aspire to positions of leadership in the enigmatic organisation. Despite this, the vast majority of the Sorority’s rank and file consists of men. Humans are the most numerous species within the Sorority, though a good number of near-human and alien species make up the difference.

The Veiled Sorority has always been willing to offer mercy to targets that surrender to it without a fight. This benevolence is tempered by the fact that the Sorority has no compunction about executing every last person aboard a ship that resists its boarding attempts. As the Sorority has increased its visibility in recent years, this reputation for both mercy and brutality has served it well.

Enjoy

Deano

 The Tal’din Cartel
Type: Crime Cartel
Headquarters: Unknown
Leadership: A group known as The Nine
Principal Activities: Illegal manufacture, storage, transportation and distribution of narcotics
Known Affiliations: Several smuggler guilds in Seswenna and Mayagil Sectors. Suspected connections with several pirate groups
Known Adversaries: N/A
Area of Operations: Seswenna & Mayagil Sectors
Size: Estimated 40,000+ individuals employed directly and indirectly. It is thought that numerous Government Officials within the sectors are on their payroll
Violence Index: 88
Key Personnel: The Nine
Key Locations: Unknown
Addendum: Despite their relative size, the Tal’din Cartel is a very secretive organisation, and surprisingly little is actually known about their operations. Whilst the cartel’s name would suggest a Mandalorian origin or influence within the group there is no known connection to Mandalore. It is believed that the group originated from somewhere in the Mayagil sector and have since spread their influence into the Seswenna sector following the close of the Clone Wars.

 Imperial Academy of Open Learning
Type: University
Headquarters: Coruscant
Leadership: Chancellor Regan Lar
Principal Activities: Provision of open learning and distance teaching
Known Affiliations: COMPNOR; SAGEducation; Coalition for Progress; Universities across the Core, Colonies and Inner Rim
Known Adversaries: Rebel Alliance’s Department of Education
Area of Operations: Nearly all sectors in the Core, Colonies and Inner Rim regions
Size:300,000+ employees
Violence Index: 2
Key Personnel: Vice-Chancellor Jenna Cordell
Key Locations: Coruscant, Carida, Obroa-skai
Addendum: Formerly known as the Republic Institute of Open Learning, the Imperial Academy of Open Learning (IAOL) provides a broad range of higher education courses that can be studied flexibly through distance teaching. Whilst operationally the organisation is somewhat Core focused, it does provide courses and services to millions of students across the galaxy. Despite being a government organisation, IAOL does have a fair degree of autonomy with its day-to-day operations, but course content and training materials are closely scrutinised by COMPNOR’s SAGEducation division to ensure that the values and history of the New Order are correctly incorporated into the materials. There are also some rumours that COMPNOR reviews all student submissions for signs of sedition and rebel sympathies.

No worries Smile

 Stardrifter Hotels
Type: Business
Headquarters: Coruscant
Leadership: Caleb Nedmak, CEO
Principal Activities: Hotel accommodation
Known Affiliations: Cybot Galactica; Industrial Automation
Known Adversaries: Anti-droid groups; Bell Hotels
Area of Operations: Most sectors of the galaxy
Size: 4,000+ employees plus 200,000+ droids
Violence Index: 5
Key Personnel: Jordan O’Dar, Logistics Director
Key Locations: Coruscant, Brentaal
Addendum: The galaxy spanning Stardrifter Hotels chain is synonymous with affordability and simplicity. Their droid managed hotels are renowned for having an all-droid staff at each of their hotels, which is a source of contention with anti-droid groups. The rooms are compact and functional with little room for anything other than sleep and a quick sonic shower. The only food and drinks available are from vending machines in hotel lobbies and usually carry a very limited range of options. The discretion of the droid staff is also well known with no need for identification to book a stay, albeit all room bookings are paid for in advance by its guests and there is a strict no refunds policy in place. A single room costs 20 credits a night whilst a double room costs 30. Stardrifter Hotels can be found in most large starports and major cities across the galaxy and often look unnervingly similar whatever their location. .

Very cool! I'm far too lazy with things like this in my games but I always appreciate other GMs creating material like this! Will follow with interest!

I’d love to see your take on the Imperial Postal Service.

Violence index should be a little higher for the "Postal" workers. Laughing

 Order of the Night Wind
Type: Assassin Guild
Headquarters: Hutt Space
Leadership: Order Master Shen Tazura
Principal Activities: Assassination
Known Affiliations: The Hutt Cartels
Known Adversaries: The Bounty Hunters Guild
Area of Operations: Galaxy wide
Size: Estimated 300+
Violence Index: 90
Key Personnel: Zerzan Yi, Warden; Ro Falco, The Keeper of Scrolls
Key Locations: Secret temples on Nal Hutta, Nimban and Klatooine
Addendum: The Order of the Night Wind, known simply as the Night Wind, is an ancient assassin guild that is rumoured to operate out of Hutt Space. Whilst it is unclear how long exactly the order has existed, there are scattered records from the Republic archives suggesting that it is at least a thousand years old. Despite its long legacy, the Order has managed to maintain its veil of secrecy and very little is known about the organisation, its members or its inner workings. What little information is available has mostly been gleaned from the very few survivors of foiled assassination attempts, scant surveillance footage and arrested clients. What is clear, however, is that the Night Wind are amongst the best hired assassins in the galaxy who closely guard the identity of their clients.

The current leader of the Night Wind is Order Master Shen Tazura, who is believed to be human and thought to have held the position for at least the last ten years. It is thought that the role of Order Master focuses solely on the day-to-day running of the Order’s temples and the training of its members. Zerzan Yi is the current Warden and is effectively the public face of the Night Wind in the shadowy underworld. Zerzan and his close circle of aides handle all of the Order’s clients as well as the complexities of underworld politics. Ro Falco, the Keeper of Scrolls, is almost as mysterious the Night Wind itself as the name has been associated with the Order for at least two centuries. Whether the name refers to a long lived individual, an inherited name, a droid or programme remains uncertain, but as Keeper of Scrolls they manage the Order’s accounts.

Night Wind assassins specialise in acrobatics and melee combat to rapidly engage and finish their marks. They value the element of surprise, speed and agility while eschewing the inaccuracies, noise and uncertainty of ranged weapons. Leaping from a rooftop and engaging a target at close quarters to confirm their kill before melting back into the shadows is a typical tactic employed by the Night Wind. As their name might suggest, the Order usually hit their marks at night or in very low-lit conditions, but should a statement or lesson need to be made publicly the Order is not above obliging for an appropriate fee.
