A great resource over the years has been the D6 Holocron Wiki. The wiki appears to no longer be working.
Anybody know why?

First. The hosting company decided to change the php version being used without my knowledge. Causing compatability problems.
To get them to allow a change took weeks for me to get done
Second. Even though I had the site set with the search engines and stop the bots, Bing decided to change there mind and run scans of the site. This overloaded the cpu on the hyper v and the host shut down the wiki section. Which is now taking weeks to get corrected again.
Obviously I'm going to belooking to go to another host again due to shifty access, communication, and slow response. Which means more time I don't have a lot of. And I can't move it till it's functional again.
I'm already annoyed by the hosting company and work and my side hustle. Please stop spreading bs. The best thing to assume when you don't know is you don't know. If someone asks and you don't know, just say " I don't know".
It's a free site and even though I have had people say I should charge money, I'm not going to. Never will.
If you want to donate it's great. Honestly I would rather people buy stuff from the side hustle in my opinion
Otherwise please just have patience and remember it's free and you honestly get a lot more than you are paying for |

Ok, I finally got the hosting company to open the site up so I can correct the code, upgrade the php and wiki software. You may see a login when accessing the site which is only for me right now. once I have all the code corrected ill have them open it back up again for everyone. I’m serious about them trying to map my site, and due to restrictions of bots its just burning up the CPU. I am thinking I need a court order to make them leave it alone.
So its looking good right now, I just need to recheck the bot blocking and have it opened back up for yall. Getting gator to see my notes is what I fear they will delay on again.
Note with the new php the NavComp will probably not function correctly. I went from php 5.x to 7.3 so obviously compatibility is going to be an issue. So if someone out there is able to work with the sql, fix the compatibility and maybe add more systems it would be great. I had it built by a wonderful man but I don’t want to assume to give him the responsibility. All I know is I don’t know s*** on it.

The D6holocron has been fully migrated to the new host and all while still waiting for Hostgator to even reply or answer anything. I seriously got better service back when i was using a free host. downloads and wiki ect are all available.
BAD
due to the BS of Hostgator (yes i will continue to repeat the BS Hosting company name, and you all know i dont like to share names of things like this) some of the SQL is corrupted. in particular the logins for the wiki. this includes the admin login that i have. and the navcomputer is messed up too. the navcomp is a hand coded set of times for every planet listed. each one was entered manually based on the descriptions in travel times. so not just hand typed in, but researched as well.
i really feel bad about this one cuz of all the work that went in by MW to make this (i respect him too much to just give out his name without permission). it was a lot of OCD level work he did just cuz he felt like it.
so i have some up hill work ahead to get these both running again. but, the wiki data, book downloads, ship generator, and dice rolling tool are working again and good for your next game.
if you are wondering, this all started on 3/12/21 when hostgator to decide to upgrade the PHP without any notice. 2 months later i finally have the bulk of the site working again.
so for those of you that have a load of followers in social media, like followers, insta-whatsit, tweeter, youtubs, snap-talk (yes i did that on purpose) feel free to BLAST HostGator
