Combat Fatigue

Being in active combat is exhausting even for the most elite soldier
nobody can fight forever, few can even fight for very long.
A suggestion that maybe make the already deadly combat system even more deadly
but maybe more realistic with both or all combatant suffering various degrees of
combat fatigue.

I am suggesting that someone that moves and shoots, doges and is actively engaged in
combat would only be able to uphold his skill level for a limited time before fatigue
starts to influence him and his skills and combat ability declines rapidly until exhaustion
this is to add some "semi" realizm as another aspect to swd6 combat.

What I imagine is that you can fight a number of rounds equal to the number of Dice you
have in Stamina before rolloing a stamina check.
if the check fails the character now operate at -1D and for stamina -1D before next check
if he fails again he now operates at -2D and for -2D rounds before next check etc etc.

If he succeeds he can go another "ful" number of rounds before his next check.
he can do this for a maximum of his STR Dice times, and will then automatically be fatigued
and operate at -3D until he has had at least 1D+2 hours of rest.

Has anyone else thought about something similar

That's a pretty good way to handle it.
