First things first. Shouldn't you address the questions I previously posted?

I'm not involved in the project, so I'm not sure how long the authors will take to address those. Do you want me to see if I can monkey with the file enough to make it work for you, or do you want to wait and see if they release an update?

I sent you the PM. Send me the file, and I'll see if I can read it. As for the edits, if you can get in contact with the people who made the pdf, great. Otherwise, I guess we'll have to wait until they read this thread.

Can view the Starships and Speeders online. But when I download it and try to view it, I'm getting the same error messages.

Going through it right now.

Found a typo: on page 14, You have HCVW A9 as the stat title and then HAVw A9 in the stats. It should be C instead of A.

Another typo: Imperial Troop transport. According to the Wook, it's K79-S80. You have K79-580.

Page 18 - the "Craft:" for the A-wing stats isn't boldfaced. Also, isn't this the same A-wing as what was shown in ROTJ? If so, it should already have stats in the Starship Stats PDF.

TIE Aggressor: You have 2 Light Laser cannons, while Starship Stats and Rebellion Era D6 Conversion have Medium Laser cannons.

The stats for the Arquitens - is that for the Imperial era only, or does it apply to the Clone Wars as well? Rise of the Separatists have stats for it as well, but I don't know if the stats from the two FFG books are the same.

The stats for the Gozanti - the Gozanti first appeared in the Starships of the Galaxy Saga Edition from WotC, and that has been converted to D6. Are the ship from that book and the one we've seen in Rebels the same?

The Hammerhead corvette - the correct name for the ship from the Wook is Rendili StarDrive Sphyrna-class Hammerhead Corvette.

Quasar Fire-class Escort Carrier already has d6 stats in The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook.

Golan I Space Station already has d6 stats in The Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook.

MC80A already has d6 stats in Star Wars Special Edition Sourcebook.

As discussed here, the people who made the Starships and Speeders pdf is our very own shootingwomprats. Here's fairly easy to get in contact with.

It's been so long I honestly do not remember. I know the A-wing was changed in new canon. They probably are the same stats. I will have to go back and compare them to make sure. If they are I will have to properly denote it in the citation.

The Clone Wars version is referred to as an Arquitens-class Light Cruiser and had a slightly different configuration of weapons and a much smaller crew. The Imperial Era version was called the Arquitens-class Command Cruiser. The stats presented are for the Command Ship version and originally appeared in the Star Wars Rebels sourcebook.

The FFG denotes the section as an Arquitens-class Light Cruiser states in the body of the text, "Known colloquially as the Imperial light cruiser, the Imperial Navy's Arquitens class is its premier light multipurpose cruiser. Descended from the Republic Navy's Arquitens class, which served so well during the Clone Wars, this new ship shares little aside from a class name and basic hull shape with its predecessor." So FFG has named it incorrectedly.

No. The Gozanti Cruiser that appeared in The Clone Wars animated series and Starships of the Galaxy (Saga Edition) is not the same as the C-ROC Gozanti-class Light Cruiser which appeared in Star Wars Rebels.

Forceally wrote:

Awesome catch. Not sure how the manufacturer was mistaken.

Forceally wrote:

The version that appears in The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook is the Virgillian Quasar Fire Cruiser-Carrier, a modified SosSuub Quasar Fire-class Bulk Cruiser. The version presented is an updated version that has a larger crew and tractor beams. Not a lot of changes, but enough.

Forceally wrote:

Not sure where I got the original stats from, thought I had created them, but after looking closer, I don't think I could have been that spot on with already published stats by WEG. So, I think I must have used those published in the WEG sourcebook and updated small pieces of information from the FFG material and wookieepedia. There are some faily significant differences, but mostly in crew complement, starship complement, etc. In answer to your question, I did not remember that the stats had already been published. I will of course update the citation so it reflects it was another persons work that I made modifications to.

Forceally wrote:

In the Expanded Universe, the MC80 Home One type Star Cruiser was different than the MC80A. WEG created stats for the Home One and listed it as an MC80 Star Cruiser in he Star Wars Sourcebook Special Edition (p.142) and the The "Naritus" is listed as an MC80A Star Cruiser in Cracken's Threat Dossier (p.142-143). Later the two ships were retconned to be the same model. The MC80A that briefly appears in RotJ is now denoted as Unidentified Mon Calamari starship 1.

MC-series Star Cruisers (Legends)
MC80 Evacuation Cruiser
MC80 Home One type Star Cruiser
MC80 Liberty type Star Cruiser
MC80a Star Cruiser
MC80B Star Cruiser

MC-series Star Cruisers (Canon)
MC80A Home One Type Heavy Star Cruiser
MC80 Liberty Type Heavy Star Cruiser

FFG stats for the most part reflect those created by WEG with the major distinction being 80 quad lasers and a complement of 120 starfighters.

Yeah, when you start talking about the MC-series in Legends and Canon it get all types of confusing. The canon version has two established models and those are presented in the FFG work on which is this conversion was based on.

I thought I had replied earlier this morning. The TL;DR of it was I haven't had a chance to monkey with the PDF yet, but hopefully will early this week.

For some reason, the notification of a PM from Rancorpit ended up in my spam folder. I found it and your message. Thanks. I was beginning to believe that the version of Adobe Acrobat that I had was the reason.

It usually sends any e-mails from Rancor Pit to my inbox. If it goes into the Spam folder again, I'll do what you suggest.

https://www.rancorpit.com/forums/downloads/Rancor%20Pit%20WotC%20Saga%20Stat%20Conversions/Converting_Saga_to_D6.pdf

I had to create and upload a new version of this document to the Library. You may need to clear your cache to access the updated document, and please do. I had to update the link to the now defunct website 'The Rebellion' to its web archive link because sometimes the web link (sometimes through auto-forwarding) takes you to an inappropriate web page I am disappointed that my web filters did not block. If there are any other documents in the Library that has links to that website, please let me know.

If any of your posts on the Rancor Pit have links to The Rebellion website, please edit your post to remove the original link and replace it with a link that refers to the web archive of the site (main page linked below). If you know of someone else's post that is linked to the original website, please point them out to us so myself or a moderator can edit them. Thank you.

Tried downloading the Starships and speeders conversion to see if I could read it. Still having the same problem. I can click on the link and have it on the screen. I can download it. I just can't read the download. Like I said, same problem as before. For the record, I checked to see if there were any updates for my Adobe Acrobat. None available.

This isn't a mass problem. Everyone else I'e heard from who's downloaded this document can view their downloaded copies. This has been tested from multiple operating systems and applications.

I'm sorry to hear you do not have the convenience of offline viewing of a downloaded copy, but I'm happy to hear you can at least view the document online. This is why both options are there, so you have one option if the other doesn't work out.

If viewing the document offline is really important to you, then you can always try to download it from the other sources it is available on the internet, which unfortunately cannot be named here due to the bootleg policy (because they also have digital bootlegs of official WEG books in addition to fanbooks). But if you search for it, you can find it.

So you're saying whatever the problem is, it's not with the Adobe Acrobat program.

You had something, a scanner or something along those lines, which you used to scan each page of the book. You collated the scans into a PDF file and made it available. Nothing went wrong with the scanning or the collating of the scans into a file - nothing that would cause the error I mentioned. Right?

Given these two things, I take it that you don't know of any other option as to what might be wrong, and are therefore unable to correct it. Great.

I'd rather not go search for other sites, but it seems as if I have no choice.

I'm not saying those things specifically. I don't have adobe acrobat or desktop Windows. My desktop computer in a Mac, I use Preview and other programs on my Mac with no issues. I also have an android phone and can download the document on whatever application it uses for that. Other people have used OSs and applications I can't list right now to test it, other than desktop windows.

And for further clarification, I did not create the document. It was created by shootingwomprats. He sent me a link to download it and I did. Then I uploaded it to the Library. I do not know what OS or application he used to create it, but I am guessing it was not on a Mac.

But yes, if you cannot download it from the RP Library, then your options are to view it online like most people do, or to try downloading it from other sites to see it that works.
