What I had in mind was throwing a grenade past the shield parameters.

Anyway, what's the point of guns beyond the shield? in the earliest canon it was established that starships can shoot past their own shields and no guns are outside deflectors.

The Death Star 2 was able to shoot while deflector on Endor was fully operational. No damage to the shield though.

Wiki doesn't mention it also in the canon or legend section.

You're the one who brought up Gungans and Droidekas.

In which case, they wouldn't be particle shields, which is the topic at hand.

Another example is the Commando Droid Shields from TCW (seen here in a screen shot that's waaaaaaay too big to imbed in the post).

The takeaway seem to be that, in general, friendly shields are (or can be, at least) synchronized with friendly weapon systems.

They were ray shields as it was mentioned in the scene. Some just wandered why the Jedi did not move through them since these do not stop matter. They didn't, cause these are still deadly:

ray shields did not allow physical objects through them completely unscathed, imparting a deadly electric shock. As such they could be used in traps.

Link does not work.

No.

We were discussing the particular scene - inside the ship - where ray shields are specifically used to trap material objects, You then replied with an example of the ship's landing bay shields, even though they are never identified as a particular type of shielding.

Ray shields are only used explicitly by name in two instances on-screen, and only actually seen in use in one of them.

Works fine for me. Do a Google Image Search for "Commando Droid Shield".

OK - sorry for misunderstanding.
Bay shields were not classified in type - true. We only know that ship cannot pass them from outside, only from inside.

Ray shields were mentioned during "Jedi trap scene" and we do not know what would be the consequence of contact with this field (this was presented in CW episode I have linked).

For my purposes, I've gone with the idea that Ray Shields not only block both energy and projectile attacks, they inflict damage on anything that touches them, organic or not. To counter this, torpedoes are sheathed in a protective energy cocoon that not only shields them from damage, but also aids them in penetrating all types of shields.
