Id just double the # of folks working together, to get a bonus...

I'm already using a doubling scale for coordination bonuses. The net effect would be a 1D difference in effectiveness between Coordinated and Uncoordinated.

I assume they are fully coordinated if they are a fully trained and drilled squad, like stormtroopers or rebel commandoes or if a character has used the Command skill to give them the bonus. Anyone else would get the lower bonus.

Simple: if they A) have a distinct commander who has rolled their Command skill to coordinate their actions, or B) are part of a group (such as stormtroopers) who are allowed to Coordinate for free, then they are operating coordinated. If no, they are not.

BUT if 'they are not having an officer/distinct group' then how do you figure out if they are still 'working' together to get that LOWER bonus? That's what i was asking.
Other than with DM Fiat that is.

It would be up to the gm, but generally if a group is trying to achieve the same task (and are at the sane range in the case of shooting) then they would be coordinating.

Say fir example, a mob of angry Jawas was beating up a guy who blew up a droid they were selling. The Brawling attacks would have the bonus and could be rolled as a single roll instead of several separate rolls.

Exactly. The idea is to boil down multiple uncoordinated rolls into a single roll at a reduced bonus, rather than having to resolve each attack separately.
