You know you bring up a very good point , I thought about this after you brought it up, I was thinking an "Ep2 sourcebook " sounds great. Instead of doing the 3 books, what about doing a Ep2, then E3, and if they go well we can do a clone wars detiling the middle. I know this sounds like alot, but I lost my gamming group and I am thirsty for some gamming. So since you have alot of Ep3 stuff, lets start with Ep2, I am willing to do all of the written work detailing the events, but I could use some stat help that is by far my weakest area. What are your thoughts?
Thanks

Well, someone did do an Ep1 sourcebook, which was quite nice. So we could do an Ep2 and then an Ep3 sourcebook. Stats-wise, I think I've already done most of what needs to be done for Ep2, except for Characters.
If you'd rather do it this way, I'm game. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

There is also a Clone Wars fan made sourcebook floating around. It appears incomplete, as though someone just pooled stats from across the internet together. I have a copy in my archives somewhere, if you would like, I can post it for reference? _________________ "There's a set way to gain new Force Points and it represents a very nice system, where you're rewarded for heroism, not for being a poor conductor to electricity." ~Jachra |

That Clone Wars book is really just a collection of stats. And most of them are quite poor, with little regard for the official info we have on those items.... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I say we do an episode II sourcebook, then episode III and we will go from there. I will post an idea for a chapter layout and we can go from there. Like I said I pretty good with write ups, but I am a newbie with stat write ups. Gry Sarth I can not thank you enough for your ideas and insight. So I gues if you are cool with it we will do a episodeII.
Thanks

Sure, Cody. I'll organize my stats to gather all the Ep2 material together. Andmaybe I'll start thinking about Character stats. Don't know, those are really troublesome..... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I know this is probably a silly questions, but what is the best way stat characters, I mean I have rolled up player characters and npc's. let me layout the chapters and I will do some character stats, if maybe you could proof read and maybe add some suggestions.
THanks

The hard thing with stating characters is that there isn't a set number of dice to use. They can have much more or much less overall dice than a PC starting character. Give it a go and I'll gladly give you some input on it.
I'll also see if I can convert some from d20 books. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Note that there is another board currently working on the Clone Wars Sourcebook. Yes, there is an early version floating around with stats, and it doesn't have any write ups in it yet. However, if you want to work on the book, I would advise going to the Star Wars RPG Network, http://www.swrpgnetwork.com and volunteering your services. I'd hate for people to re-invent the wheel. Especially since there has been considerable work done on the book since then if my sources are correct. |

Gry Sarth, do you have a pdf version of the convert chart, because I would like to try it, I know there was one in the origonal core book for d20, but it is forever lost into the great abyss. The clone wars sourcebook on the other site focuses on the entire clone war, I would like to be a little more specific such as ep2 and ep3 specific sourcebooks, I don't want to reinvent the wheel, I just want to give it some rims.
Thanks

Best conversion guideline you'll find is at The Rebellion
http://www.verminary.com/rebellion/notes.html
In fact, I just went there and gathered and organized a bunch of character conversions. If you're feeling like converting d20 characters, do you have the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook? There are stats for pretty much all the Ep2 jedi in there. If you don't have, PM me. The Revised Core Rulebook also have some stats we can convert, like Jango and Anakin....
Here are the ones I already have covered:
Bail Organa
Dexter Jettster
Elan Sleazebaggano
Mas Amedda
Nute Gunray
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Padmé Amidala
Palpatine
Passel Argente
San Hill
Shmi Skywalker
Shu Mai
Sio Bibble
Wat Tambor
Zam Wessel
Supreme Chancellor's Guard
Clone Trooper
BTW, converting Jedi is a pain in the rear. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Hey, Cody- we're all here to help each other and learn from each other. If you're working on a sourcebook FOR us, then there's no way you're being a pain. I'm pretty sure I'm echoing everyone's sentiments when I say that. These sourcebooks are a great help to all of us, and any ways we all pitch in just makes it a project shared by us all- both in the creating and in the enjoying as well.
Keep up the good work! |
