I just started last week a jedi game in the new republic era and I was wondering when you guys would think it'd be appropriate for me to start lobbing dark jedi and whatnot at them, some kind of force attribute range or something, cause I don't want to start them off with that too early. I don't have much experience with running a jedi game effectively... I don't want their master doing every bit of fighting and stuff... you know?

I was thinking somewhere around maybe 4D force attributes and maybe 5D+2 lightsaber... plus their other skills at decent levels...

Yeah I'd take those stats as a baseline level of experience to start messing with some dark side foes.

I'd bring it in slowly, like making the guys do some work that they think has nothing to do with darkies, and make it turn out that the guy was working for some evil almighty dark jedi. Also have a decoy so that they think sombody who is a darkie end up being some sort of outcast of another form of jedi order, and have one of the jedi masters have been part of that order untill he left for the winning team, and the darkie have been there too (he destroyed it).

Urhart has a good idea going.

Start off slow with the Dark Jedi. Remember, if they do anything really dark and evil the Jedi council will 'feel' it. A Dark One could operate from the shadows. Perhaps s/he controls a new pirate guild from behind the scenes. When the pcs get in the way of his pirate plans, he could send a bounty hunter after them. If that fails, s/he could plan elaborate traps for the pcs, false distress calls, decoy pirate attacks, etc. You could use the 'pirates of prexiar' adventure to start off the pirate angle of the adventure.

(Damn this is good stuff. Shocked )

Those damn pirates of prexiar almost killed my jedi the last time we tried that... and it's all the captain's fault... if only he could sneak a little better Razz

Thanks for all your help guys... I've got my next few things planned out now Smile
I just hope that Durran doesn't make the PoP too easy for them...

When I ran Pirates of Prexiar, my friend ended up stealing the pirates' ship, and he killed the captain. His character was a failed Jedi and so he could use a lightsaber, which he used to get onto the ship, i think he cut through some kind of vent or something and got onboard. While onboard, he ran into the pirate captain and he ended up cutting the captain in half with his lightsaber. Then he made his way to the cockpit of the ship and opened it up at which point the rest of the characters got on with the medical, then they took off and vaporized the pirate's base.
