And don;t forget that Stormtroopers always have backup heavy weapons they can call upon:

Like orbital bombardment...

TIE Bomber Proton torpedo strike...

TIE Fighter strafing run...

Heavy Artillery in the rear...

An AT-AT...or five...

Maybe the PCs can dodge 20D combined blaster fire, but how about 20 Thermal Detonators? How about 20 Thermal Detonators fired from a mortar 500 yards in the rear?

Or how about an Imperial negotiator...?

Pit them against dark jedi... REALLY dark ones...

Another thing: It's a safe bet your group aren't all that good in starfighter piloting, or space combat in general. Try to engineer a situation where the thug in the group is piloting their super-souped up transport...

Of course the ultimate test for high level characters is allowing them to change the Star Wars timeline. Send them after Vader or the Emperor himself. Send them after the Death Star. Send them to do what Luke does, or any of the other main characters.
