To be fair it is highly possible to play a high strength/low intelligence character successfully without adding too much danger to the other players.

My primary character is an Esoomian with 7D in strength and (at starting level) no other stats higher than 2D+1.

So far he's made it through more than three years of semi-regular role-play with no serious injuries. You just have to be creative in the application of strength and not some unthinking hulk.

And if I can find it I might post a more recent example of creative application of high strength and low resources

I played with a guy that was always going off and casuing trouble, I think he did it for the attention, However I never hesitated to kill his getting and I never pulled punches because he allways was disrupting the game. So everytime he died he made a new character begining dice and everything eventually (8-9 characters) he came to his senses as the group moved up in skill he could no longer keep up with them and decided he need to start thinking a little and stay with the party, although I think it was more for protection on his part. But that is how we handle those disruptive brutes.
