Hi' I'm new here. This is also my 1st posting on any board ever. I haven't played SWD6 in a while. I recently spotted a second edition R&E at my local game store, and had to pick it up. Since that time I have begun a new campaigne which I GM. I GMed Star Wars for about three years in the late 90's. I took to D20 for a few years running Dragonlance, but the rules are so tedious and indepth that pulling out a story and keeping it moving can be a Herculean task. After about 2 years on the shelf, I found myself drawn back to D6 for the ease of the system. I find it much easier to craft a story and keep the action moving when there are less rules in the way.
That said, I decided to post here to interact with others who like to spend time spinning tales of a long time ago in a gallaxy far, far away. Hopefully I will learn alot from this community. And just maybe, I might be able to share some usefull knowledge with others.

May the Force be with you 8)

Don't overlook the great PbP games going on here, either! There should be a few with open slots, or people here who have games running on other forums with open slots. And if any of those don't appeal to you, you can always start your own PbP. Wink Welcome to the Pit.

Welcome. Check out the tools section, there are many fan made books there, ripe for the picking.

Please forgive my lack of internet/tech savviness, but I'm not shure what PbP is. Anybody, anybody? sarcastic comments welcome.

Ah, I see. It might be interesting. I'll check it out. Though I am pretty attached to my tabletop.

It's mostly for those of us that no longer have access to a tabletop group anymore, and for those that just can't wait until the next appointed session to get their fix!

I'm using it as a way to get into GMing...I've never done it before, and PbP is the only way I could do it and stay halfway sane. It's worth trying!

It's actually a good way to get experience GMing, especially if you've got a thick skin and can handle a bunch of us yayhoos telling you what you could do better. There's a LOOOOOOT of experience on this board, and if you avail yourself of it, you'll come out way ahead of the game.

I haven't been that lucky for years now. And the last time I did was a nightmare.

Never played RIFTs but always wanted to. I'd love to make a crazie Very Happy

No Star Wars for me either for about a year now (although I am GMing a D6 game tonight).

I still hold out hope that one day we'll be able to resume gaming SW

Star wars is the only game I'll never GM. I enjoy playing it too much. I'll GM other games (white wolf, 2nd ed ad&d, robotech etc) but never Star Wars.
