Yeah, Vong, I've almost got the permissions on the system ironed out. I'm working on the database permissioning as we speak. I'll fire you an e-mail with your username and password when I get it. _________________ The Road Goes On - My personal blog.

Alright, the site is fully functional. Now I just need to populate the database. Search works, adding works, editting works, it all works. _________________ The Road Goes On - My personal blog.

Uh, at the moment it doesn't. But I think I now how it would. The database would store the URL of the picture, and the picture would be stored in the filesystem. I'll need to figure out how to do uploads in php before I can do that though. _________________ The Road Goes On - My personal blog.

Just thoguht I would share a bit of progress I have made.
I parsed the Alien stats into a database, and Gry gave me his pictures.

There is no functionality other then displaying all the species, and then linking to their stats and a picture. If there is no picture, the picture will just display as a missing picture. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

Alright, thanks to Vong's excellent parsing skills and Gry Sarth's ridiculous amounts of data the Alien Species have all now been added into the database. Currently they can only be accessed by browse. However search should be available for them shortly. _________________ The Road Goes On - My personal blog.

Great to see this moving forward.
One beef, why are all the entries like this: "Dexterity: DEXTERITY 2D" etc. Whay the redundancy?
"Special Skills" is misspelled as "Sepcial_Skills:"
Also, it shouldn't say "Race:", but "Species:" A race is a subvariety within a species. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Outstanding work, the only complaint that I have is its just a long list on the left side of the screen. Maybe if you break it up into a couple of columns, then it would be a little more user friendly. (This is just me being picky!!) This would be awesome if the Galaxy Guide became the Ultimate D6 stat resource , I can see the potential (The Force is strong with this one) _________________ "Well hello Mister Fancypants. And maybe have a set of hyperlinks at the top of the page to take you to the beginning of each set of species alphabetically so you don't have to scrooooooooll all the way down when looking for a certain species. _________________ Check out some of my games at DriveThruRPG!

Eventually it'll be searchable so you can just search for the species you want. And it should already be split into three columns...
Are you going here? http://starwars.theroadgoeson.com
If you still get just one column, take a screen shot and post please? _________________ The Road Goes On - My personal blog.
