I need an adventure idea. Just give me something random. I like developing random ideas. It makes it more creative, sometimes, when I develop a completely random idea.

Well the one that I’m doing is this…
The remnant forces in the Verge (outer-rim territory) are now using the same tactics that the rebellion used to oust the Empire.
They have been developing an “Imperial Sith” program to combat the new republic and the new Jedi order.

There is a bit more too it than that, but that’s the skinny.

Idea A Random idea: A Rebel cruiser appears over a New Republic world and bombards the military bases outside the capitol city. It then fades ino hyperspace bound for ??? (Perhaps NRI can find an old copy of their orders, perhaps not). Unknown to anyone this cruiser, recorded as missing four years ago, has suffered a hyperspace drive malfunction which has distorted relative time. They think it's four years ago and know nothing of the New Republic's victories.

Now send in the players to clean up the mess...or assign them the task of recovering this wayward cruiser.

The players will be knee deep in planetary diplomats screaming "What's the republic going to do about this?" while trying to organize relief efforts and answering command's holocommunication demanding an update.

Every fifth game or so, I enjoy throwing the players into situations for which they have never invested character points. Something they can't shoot their way out of.

"O.K. roll your diplomacy skill (heh-heh)"...

That's cool because most Star wars games it’s the players against the Empire, Vong, Remnant, Sith, Dark Jedi or Pirates. But its never the pc’s against nature, or science gone awry.

Horse Feathers!

The director's not doing his job if he doesn't strand the players on a barely habitable world for a few months at least once per campaign! It's amazing how quickly everyone starts increasing survival, knowledge: this planet, botany, and cooking skills (a bout of incapacitating stomach cramps does that).Laughing

Some ideas:
Evil or Very Mad The hyperdrive fails and leaves the party stranded in deep space. After the repair rolls fail the director gets to describe in great detail how it will take 148.3 years to reach the nearest system, the oxygen supply is running out, and the ship is getting colder!? I did this to my group when they ran through a TIE fighter blockade and took a lot of damage. I allowed the Jedi to call for help (a holocom might work instead) but only told him "I don't know, you've never sent that far before. You don't know if you were heard or not. I wonder if the Emperor or Vader could hear that? Hmmmmmmm". I knew their buddies would find them after the air ran out while they were in vacc suits, but they didn't know it until their buddies arrived. Make 'em sweat! Don't let them get rescued until every player has two really good roleplaying moments!

Twisted Evil The New Republic sends the team to a planet to investigate a partial planetary distress call. Only automated beacons greet them, but after they land they learn the planet is suffering from a germ warfare attack. The New Republic ask them to coordinate the relief efforts from the surface (since it would be foolish for them to leave after being exposed) and, oh yeah, can you describe the symptoms to us... How many characters have (A) medicine for a skill? So, they'll probably have to organize some sort of medical research project and a pacification project and a supply mission (the hospitals are in chaos but the New Republic can do an air drop in a day or two.) Of Course, if the players solve this little problem they'll be heros. It may take them some time to realize they're not facing a disease. They're facing self replicating nanobots so bacta tanks are useless and they're all showing synptoms! Bwah Hah Hah Haaah....

It's OK to be mean once in awhile.

How's this, a small transport crashes somewhere nearby, out of climbs a crazed guy with a big rocket launcher. He has no skill and crawling out after him are two Charon, Once the Charon attack and are killed the guy is still crazy, and he reveals that he barely got away, and his friends are all dead, he was in other space on a mission from the Old Republic and he has never heard of the empire. A small ship of Charon follow a few days later and try to attack every body. there ship takes off(with entire party inside it) and ends up on a Charon controled planet that has evil dogs, swarms of birds, and giant beasts witha biga nasty teeth(I used this on a rebel group, a couple months ago, and the giant beasts were very fun. Twisted Evil )

Where did the Charon come from? Must be a supplement I don't have?

They're obsessed with death because of their religeon, and they'll kill everything, including themselves, so it's easy to make them enimies. Besides, the avdenture reall doesn't have as much to do with them as it could. Most of the threat are the other creatures on the planet (they are all daytime predators).

I have a thought, (aside from the charon issue), one which i would like to contribute.
I ran a game a few months back, in which all the charatcers were jedi. I know, at first it sounds crazy, but it was actually a very good game. It was set in the old republic (called the Republic then, doncha know) which was set some time before episode one, after which the jedi order was recovering after a recent sith war.
It would be easy to modify to run in the New republic (anytime after endor) if thats your thing. If you want to hear more, let me know and I will give you the detailes about how the game went, as I am not sure exactly if people would be interested. Although, it was probly the best SW game our group has had, if I do say so myself.

Do you still need an adventure idea, Mr. Roboto?
What about,
a player is framed for a crime s/he didn't commit.
