				| Anyone here gonna be playing this? Pre-order access starts today, and the game goes live on the 17th. I'll be playing on Xbox under gamer tag SoloLaw if anyone wants to team up.
I'll admit that I'm pretty disappointed with how the loot crate thing has shaken out, but from having played the beta, the actual gameplay itself is pretty damn solid.

				| The single player story is only supposed to be (so far) about 4-5 hours long, and apparently ends on something of a cliffhanger (which will likely be continued in future DLC).
The multiplayer gameplay was a lot of fun, although the progression system and loot boxes thing sucks.

				| Yea, I don't like those types of games where everybody runs around and just shoots each other. I much prefer a single player game with a good story and play experience that doesn't break the fourth wall. | |

				| I swore off video games after they wrecked my high school years and first year of college. The last 15 excellent years have been tabletop or bust!
But even when I did play video games, I couldn’t stand first person games.

It is because I roleplay that I like single player games. Multi-player games are more like playing sports or cards. In a single player game, I can soak of the world and be there, in that place, akin to roleplaying.

				| Everything I saw of it, and trying out in the open beta, made me want to do the tabletop game all the more.
Oh, and wish I could get my X-Wing disc to work on a modern rig and a controller rather than harder and harder to find joysticks. (I'm cursed for online ordering, so if it isn't in a store, I can't get it.). Also wish I knew what happened to my Tie Fighter discs, and mad at myself for not getting X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter and X-Wing: Alliance.

And do I have to get some overpriced joystick that was ripped out of a CF-100 online instead of the old two-button joysticks I could get for cheap back in the day, or will my controller that I'm not used to work well enough?

				| I tested them on 3 PCs now an they are working fine (GOG Versions)
You could use every Joystick your PC is running.

				| My PC is running a Gamepad, because Joysticks today are hideously over-complicated and overpriced. | KeldorKatarn wrote: | | You could use every Joystick your PC is running. |

But, then again, I thought adding a throttle control to a two-button joystick was a bit much.
