He looks up from his his studies and turns around to face the others. Surprisingly, despite his face not being able to produce any facial features, he seems to have a rather annoyed look on it. He simply shakes his head before turning back to his studies. He mumbles something about hiden things supposed to remain hidden as he gets back to work.

"Bandon? Will that do for the moment?" Cal asks, hurrying after Bandon. "Knowing what it's like to be without your lightsabers, I'll gladly give you one of mine to wield until we resolve this with the captain. But the important thing right now is getting them back together. Since Toba's not going to budge on giving you the other one right now, just give him that one and we'll get Qassar to make a decision."
As they go, Cal says to Zerran, "What I remember is that his lightsabers contain the spirits of one or two long-dead Sith lords or something. If they are separated for long enough, they'll escape their confinement, then we'll ALL be in trouble." |

Zerran's step has a small hesitation when he hears the news from Cal and says "That is most troubling indeed, and I see your need to rush to get them back together." as he searches his memory for a tale similar to this one.

Zerran has heard stories about the ancient Sith lords trapping their enemy's spirits within various objects in order to use their life energy to enhance their dark powers. Some Sith lords even embedded their own spirits into objects when their bodies reached a point of such degradation that they were soon to die.

He takes a couple more puffs then,
"I'm sure you didn't call me here to smoke and talk about my crew roster."
