I found it. I sure hope this doesn't make too much of a mess putting it in:

Merge Senses
Sense Difficulty: Moderate. Modified by proximity.
Time to use: Three rounds.
Required powers: Magnify senses
Effect: This power allows a Force user to perceive things through the senses of another creature, one with animal intelligence or less. He can see through the eyes of the selected creature, enjoying the benefits of being bound by the restrictions of the creature's vision. He can hear through the creature's ears; smell was that creature smells; and physically feel whatever the creature is feeling. The Force user does not control the creature, but can make suggestions. The simpler or less threatening the request, the more likely it will be agreed to. If a suggestion goes against the nature of the creature or would put it in an obviously hazardous situation, the Force user must make a sense roll against the subject's willpower. Failure means the suggestion is ignored.

While the Force user’s senses are merged with a creature’s, the Force user’s body is motionless, its senses unable to function until, of course, the meld is broken. Releasing the target creature requires a Moderate roll. The link with the creature is also broken by the death of either the creature of the Force user. If the creature suffers damage or dies during a meld, the Force user suffers one-half the amount of damage.


Oh, by the way, I found a typo of mine in the Force Breach Power.

Well, it's quite a mess, indeed. I have to cram it right after Magnify Sense on page 12, and that will shift a lot of stuff around. But since it's an official power, I simply have to do it...

...dang, I knew I should have waited a while longer before printing my copy....

Man. Who would have thought that after spending months on this thing that an official power would get discovered? I think I started in May, and have been doing really serious work since late June or July.

I just had no idea that there was an otherwise unpublished Adventure Journal power.

Humm.. do you think that's necessary? What's the point? Besides, with most of the powers created here in the Pit, it's very much a group effort, with half a dozen people giving input to create the final power.

I don't know, I've always thought that fans shouldn't be too possessive about the material they create. I view fan work as an altruistic exploit, so who cares who did it? As long as it's reaching other fans...

...oh, this brings back some painful memories...

While i do agree in part, i also feel the impetus for creating them falls to the initial idea maker, so they should get some credit.

Okay, important note on the Share Senses. I just looked up the prereq's for Beast Languages, and they're not listed in the required powers for Share Senses. The required powers for Beast Languages are:

Life sense, receptive telepathy, projective telepathy, translation

As far as credit, it's hard to say on that one. I mean, we could have credited each person that helped with each power, but we'd have a list a mile long for the Force Jump. As much as giving credit for having the idea for the power sounds good, a lot of them were taken from novels and video games. Who ought to get the credit?

Of course, these things don't matter so much to me, so take it for what it's worth.

Ok, cheshire, I don't quite follow what you're trying to say with all this prerequisite fuzz. First, when you say "Share Senses" I take it you mean the newfound "Merge Senses", right? But then what's all this with Beast Languages? After all is said and done, are you suggesting any correction or what? I'm a bit at a loss...

Ignore my previous post. I suffered a total brain fuzz after my philosophy class. I was going to look up the prerequisites for MERGE SENSES and I looked up the wrong power's prerequisites.

You may return to the world of the sane.

As well, why did a bunch of the powers in the first few posts by Darthhomer get cut from the book?

There were powers from the Witches of Dathomir, as well as a set of powers from another alternate force traditions from a WEG campaign that were not included. The exclusion was for two reasons. First, they represent alternate Force traditions including different rules and are much different than what is usually represented in a normal Star Wars campaign. Second, I didn't have those books to transcribe their weirdness.

Not to bump this again, but I do have a comment about the style. Some of the force powers list a string of requirements, but the list is a list of powers that require each other. EG:

Force Harmony
Required Powers: Life detection, life sense, receptive telepathy, projective telepathy

BUT
Projective telepathy requires receptive telepathy
receptive telepathy requires life sense
life sense requires life detection

So would it be more prudent to only list the 1 power it requires.

I bring this up because There are some powers that list only the one power it requires, and not the ones that THAT power requires.

I compiled a list (following the tree) with just what is required, and not what is required of the required etc (i think its right... could be wrong)

Any power that has a required power has a new line under it with "-" listing the powers.
