SoroSuub Blue Verdock Bus:
A long-running series of long-distance ground-level transports, the Blue Verdock is named after a breed of Sullustan racing lizard. While lacking in anemities (Only a very small Fresher is available, and a few viewscreens for entertainment), it is a cheap alternative to higher-altitutde speeders to connect people from city to city by way of Speeder- and Repulsorways.

The Blue Verdock series suffers even greater than usual from SoroSuub's infamous tendency of not accepting any other company's components, but is such a popular vechicle that getting spares new or used is not much of an issue. An optional Droid Back-Up Unit is required in some systems, and is a popular option even on planets that don't legally require it.

Craft: SoroSuub Blue Verdock Bus
Type: Landspeeder Bus
Scale: Speeder
Length: 12 Metres
Skill: Repulsorlift Operations: Speederbus
Crew: 1
Crew Skill: Varies (Usually 4D).
Passengers: 30-50 (Depending on legroom given to each being)
Cargo Capacity: 250 Kilograms
Cover: Full
Altitude Range: Ground
Cost: 175,000 (New); 100,000 (Used)
Maneuverability: 0D
Move: 80; 230 km/H
Body Strength: 3D
Game Notes: Add +10 to the difficulty of repairs or modifications if using Non-SoroSuub parts. Optional Droid Back-Up Driver (Repulsorlift Operations: Speederbus of 3D) costs 2,500 credits and takes up negligable space/weight.

While I can't say I've used them, I hasten to add that it's because I've not been gaming much at all... working on my last year of school for my BS Bio degree...

That being said... were I to be in a game... I'd definitely use them. Smile

I'm glad someone drug this old thread up from the depths, otherwise I'd have never seen it. I may end up using one or more of these in my PbP that I'm running at some point...we'll see. Did you have any illustrations to go along with these, Ray?

No, I'm no artist.

I go with the idea in my head of the traditional Hovercar, A Flying Car with a Jet Engine or two:

Old Republic-Era vechicles usually have designs similar to the cars of the '30s to '60s. Sleak, with fins.

Imperial-Era vechicles are like the '70s to early '90s, boxes, with hard lines.

New Republic-Era... Well, Marv put it best, "Modern cars - they all look like electric shavers."

Back again here. Very Happy How you guys doing? Anyone even look at this old post and use any of these?

Anyhow, something that I did find out (And what brought me back) was that I found out that some of these have shown up on the D6 Holocron with the source listed as "Unknown".

Anyone got an e-mail for these guys so I can make myself known?

Finally getting back into a Star Wars D6 game! Very Happy My old GM by way of Webcam!

Anyhow, searching around, I found a "Speeder" that I really, really wanted.

Think I should try to make stats for this?

It looks like it moves like a rocket, but turns like a supertanker... Probably pretty durable, too.

I'd make the Maneuverability 1d because it looks like it would take forever to turn a corner. Other than that... two appendages up.
