Something like this for me too. Though I don't bookmark, I usually type in the sites name in the google search bar in my browser, click the first entry (usually the right one) and voila, it's faster than bookmarking and doesn't waste tabs in the browser. That's before I got to be a member though, now I have a tab devoted to this site.

Oh, before I actually found the forums, I usually wound (?) up at the front page, and left pretty soon since none of the info that the search engine promised where in fast reach. Now I know better... Very Happy

I had a friend actually refer me to this site when I was looking for some SW art. What a treasure trove I found!

Complete and utter accident. Surfing D6 I originally passed it up as not having enough information downloadable from the front page (I was younger what can I say).

Later when clearing out favorites on an old HDD, I found it again and hit the forums, lurked for a loooong while then finally registered.

I think I found it by searching on Yahoo for "Star Wars D6".

I used the site just for the front matter for a while, and one day I tried out the forums... man what a gold mine rests beneath the surface of this site!

Amen, brother.

And the discussion here is refreshing. People actually seem to get along most of the time.

And the best part Surprised you can actually state your opinion and not get slammed for it.... most of the time. Wink

I'm sure it was googled. I'm not sure now exactly what I was looking for, but I'm sure it was something for my Star Wars D6 game.

I'm very glad I found this site. It makes me so happy to see that the original Star Wars RPG gets so much support despite the fact it hasn't been published or officially supported for a decade.

I despise the WOTC's "D&D in space" version of the game and I will always play D6.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to whomever created this site, and to all who participate in it.

I agree, D20 is too tacticla for Star Wars and really doesn't feel like Star Wars.

I think it was a google search on some alien species. Since I loved so much the huge amount of alien stats on the site, I decided to explore it further.

I consider this one of the few "lost havens" for d6 players.

I had heard references throughout my tenure on the Holonet forums to this site, but I'd never looked it up. Now, since I'm a die hard D6er, we tend to be a little more chatty off of the Holonet and on AIM. It was in one of my chats with some other D6ers that the site was mentioned again, and someone provided a link. Now, I had probably seen a link for this place a dozen or more times, but never really had the interest to come here. Since I heard that this site was D6 only, though, it peaked my curiousity so I trundled on over and found it rather comfortable here.

So now it's one of my bookmarks, so I can pop in here anytime and see what's going on. Very Happy

I run a couple of characters I created over a decade ago in a story arc on another forum board site. After a major site problem, we're revamping, retooling, and streamlining our characters as we pick our story thread back up. I asked my friend for stats and power lists and such and he pointed me here. VERY comprehensive site! I've enjoyed what I've seen so far.

This 2003 thread was originally replied in through 2008. I thought I would bump it again...

Honestly, it's been so long that I don't recall. I vaguely recall searching for somewhere else to land when the AOL SW-RPG mailing group dried up, so it may have been an Internet Search, but I can't say for certain.
