After many years away I am now back into Star Wars D6. Since then a lot of the pages I used to frequent, groups I was a part of, and resources have changed, been replaced or no long exist.

I was curious. What are some the best groups, forums, pages, etc for specifically Star Wars d6 and Star Wars gaming (non-computer, looking for RPG material). _________________ Don Diestler

The Holonet used to be up there, but given that it's down and hasn't had a lot of traffic lately... _________________ __________________________________

While I agree that Wookieepedia is a great resource for finding out information, I'm starting to find some errors in their articles and posts. It's touted as the "official" online library of Star Wars, but they conflict with their sources too often and don't budge on some of the fixes when presented. Case point: The Battle of Yavin. Technical info lists 7 Y-wings present for the main assault on the Death Star. The Special Edition, especially the wide screen, shows 8 Y-wings, very visible and easy to count. The admins won't take that into their sources and make it official.

Maybe I'm tired and making this a bigger deal than it needs to be, but I think it presents its self as a clear case of errors that the admins won't acknowledge and correct, which shows some bias on their part.

When looking for RPG sources, cross-reference everything. Don't do like I use to and just go off Wookieepedia. _________________ "Sarcasm is just one of the many services I provide."

Hey, it's been a while, so sorry for thread bump.

I'm currently compiling a (MASSIVE) list of resources, and some of them are dead links.

Anyone have any info on Cost of Contraband, or have the Spacer's Handbook handy? It sounds interesting but it's dead.

There's also a bunch of resources at Tabletop Gaming Notes:

Many of which are dead as well. Anyone know anything about the Holocron Netbook? |

Anybody know what the system requirements for the Star Wars Crawl creator app are? I can't find it on the site & it gives my a little list of incompatability issues that I have a hard time believing. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." I used to use the online one (not the app, just the basic one at starwars.com), but it didn't seem to work very well the last time I tried. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Too bad, all I can find is the app now. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." The Brain |

I debated making this a new thread, but I decided to keep it here for the best bookkeeping.

As I mentioned, I'm currently compiling a massive list of resources, and as such am trying to track down ALL the SWRPG material I can, mostly just to preserve its existence.

 And I need your help!

As I stated previously ^, the Cost of Contraband site is long since dead. However, the Wayback Machine has an archive of some of its pages, allowing me to salvage the Spacer's Handbook at least. The same cannot be said for the subject of this post:

I ran across a listing from 2001, of the old Star Wars user groups, which details a page called the Star Wars Internet File Archive. It has all of its (now missing) files listed, and of particular interest are the Star Wars RPG files. The listing can be found here (https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/alt.fan.wedge/Kw_pyLctYrY/VO8gsJ0FNhoJ), and I have an email out to the author (just in case!), but the following is the full list of RPG resources it claimed. I'm calling for anyone who has any of these old files to come forth and help preserve our RPG history!
