Also, don't forget that by the time of the Legacy of the Force books, Luke had perfected the power that Plo Koon had initiated

No, Plo Kloon had perfected it as well, It took to the time of Legacy of the Force for it to be rediscovered.

And to think that this topic was supposed to be about perfecting the stats for electric judgement...

To think one would need to fully understand the power in order to recreate it in a game as best they can.

That is also true, but beside the point, I was merely attempting to redirect the discussion back to adapting the power, rather than have it descend into an argument about EU cannon

So, what does everyone think of Revision 7?

Personally I am never a fan of random dice rolls determining a player gaining dark side points, but that's a personal thing so take it as you want.
But I see where you are going with it and it makes sense.

The fact of the matter is that you're right that leaving dark side points to random dice rolls is sort of bad practice, however, the player using the power should have it high enough to be able to figure out whether or not chances are good that he or she will fail easily, besides, if the dice fluke, you can always spend character points. For me, spending a couple character points to avoid a dark side point are worth it.

Revision 7 is the best I've seen so far. Though I may cut back on the out time, to 1 for every 2, instead of 2 for every 2. 1 minute in game time can be a long time, long enough to properly sedate someone with medical equipment, or at least strip them of their weapons. It's a whole lot of rounds.

Yup. 1 minute is 12 combat rounds.. More than enough time to strip someone of stuff or sedate them.

So the target rolls strength vs what ?

If used successfully - unconscious.

So what is the point of rolling Strength?

i see the difference between this and force lightning as being electric judgement is like trying to cook something without burning it. force lightning is like trying to burn it to a crisp.

i think this power should require a sense roll to allow the jedi to sense how much damage he is doing, sort of a feedback thing that allows him to not kill with it, kinda like how emeril says "use the knob". if the jedi feels part of the pain he inflicts, it keeps him from the dark side with this power.

unless he is a sick weirdo and likes pain...
