I'm surprised that no one has come up with bio-ware cybernetic systems. If the Kaminoans can clone a million copies of the same human, it shouldn't be too difficult to clone limbs or organs for implantation. We're on the verge of having that capacity now.

I believe that sort of thing is illegal in the Star Wars universe.

As I recall cloning was outlawed shortly after the clone wars so that sort of technology was never developed.

I think you're right, but at the same time, law enforcement in the SWU seems to be even more relative than it is in the real world (as in, the more money you have, the less the rules apply). With the stigma attached to obvious cybernetics, I would think someone with enough money would be able to afford to slip off to some private clinic on Kamino to have their arm or their liver regrown and reattached.

I've been thinking about the force and cyberware. If I was to replace my characters legs with cybernetic speed enhanced legs, would the force power Burst of Speed still work?

If Burst of Speed is strictly a Control power, then I would say no. However, Alter based powers like TK Jump would probably still work.

Seems logical.

I checked up on the replacement parts and it seems like you can replace allt the limbs, heart and lungs for a reasonable price. But if you want that extra pip you will have to pay a fortune in surgery costs. Some cyberware are very cheap but the replacement limbs are very expensive. Seems a bit skewed to me.

Even if you don't, if the Force is primarily connected to lifeforms, it makes sense that cutting away large portions of a being's living flesh and replacing it with inorganic components would lower a person's connection to the Force.

I've been thinking and I can see a problem with getting cybernetic replacements that I'm not sure if it's covered by RAW or canon. If you replace both arms and legs you reduce energy consumption by a lot. Will you get extremely fat or do your limbs run on some sort of bio-power from food intake?

So does it mean that you can get extremely well shaped arms and legs but you will in the end look like a bit fat spider?

No you wouldn't look like a big fat spider...'cause you'd only have four-limbs. Razz
